This is not the most complicated choreography, but i appreciate Stray Kids for this performance, it's all unique and full of emotions. Contemporary dance is a genre of dance performance that developed during the mid-twentieth century and has since grown to become one of the dominant genres for formally trained dancers throughout the world, with particularly strong popularity in the U.S. and Europe.
I love Side Effects. It's so good and the lyrics, like usual, are really meaningful as well. Domino (cool domino effects) Miroh (lots of jumping, traditional haka dance)
Thank you for your reaction…And you are right, this is one of their many sleeping giant songs and dances…I was introduced to Stray Kids in 2022, so being able to go back and watch their earlier releases and finding masterpieces like this has just made it so much more exciting… So please keep up these awesome SKZ dance reactions. 🫶🏼 Scars, Levanter ( slower dances) and All-IN are some dance’s performances I recommend . 😊
Through 'Side Effects' stray kids introduced 'Psytrance' genre into k-pop (which is now seen alot) 3RACHA ❤️🔥 "Side Effects" by Stray Kids is a song that delves into the complexities of emotions and the struggles of finding one's identity in a fast-paced and demanding society. The lyrics touch upon the feelings of confusion, pressure, and uncertainty that can come with growing up and facing the challenges of life. Self-doubt seeps over a heavy, thumping bass line, while the members confront the side effects of growing up - pain, anger, confusion, and anxiety, to name a few. Lyrics being~ "I threw myself with trust in me," "But why am I just being hurt?" The members hit their heads three times and says “my head hurts.” In the chorus itself, an unknown voice lists all the side effects and as Stray Kids scream in what appears to be agony. The shouts start off relatively simple with a short “Ow!” but that mild intensity quickly ramps up and, by the end, the vocalist is practically howling in pain. Effective shouting in music must have contrast (between the basey instrumental and the higher pitched shrieks) and vocal power(which Stray Kids has no dearth of) With these two factors mastered, Side Effects is already good. But the intention in the shouting really elevates it to great. The yelling in this instance is the dual purpose. Not only do these adlibs hype up an exciting song, increasing its impact, it also contains meaning within the context of the music. Function and fashion are both taken into consideration, creating perfection. The song's powerful and dynamic sound also complements its introspective lyrics, making it a compelling piece of music that resonates with many listeners.
Side Effects is one of my favorite STRAY KIDS songs too, it's so good, thank you very much for value it so much, it's incredible how without knowing the lyrics of their songs, you can understand part of the meaning through their choreography and expressions, you're great, and You are right, something that I really appreciate about SKZ is that they do not create different choreographies at random, as they are involved in the entire process of creating the song, when working with the choreographers they choose the appropriate movements and steps that help them cary the message, in this case Side Effects, according to themselves "...The song reflects on the consequences of their actions and decisions, questioning whether the trust they put in themselves was misplaced as they face the side effects of their choices..." They faced a lot of rejection in the Korean market at the beginning of their career, they sacrificed a lot and wondered if it was worth it, they really surprise me and I admire them, how from such a young age they had this amount of drive, talent and determination. Also I agree with you and Felix's voice, is not just deep but unique, he was named the best Baritone in de kpop industry by The Rollingstone mag, and I agree 💯🤭✨ please check out his solo song "Deep End" and Bang Chan, he is a baritone too so you han hear him in low and high notes equally he is amazing too ✨😍🥰✨ Again, thank you very much, I am enjoying your reactions more than usual, you contribute a lot with your experience as a professional but also as a person and that is the best part, please don't push yourself too hard, rest and thank you very much, more Stray Kids reactions in the future please, have a great day.
Try first to search the meaning of all the stray kids song so you understand what they doing in every song they make dance performance and dance practice
This is not the first time they have done contemporary dance. Hyunjin has a solo piece contemporary dance to "When The Party's Over" by Billie Eilish. Lee Know has some solo performances were he has done contemporary, hip hop and krump. Their is a fan made video out there of all his solo pieces because the were most live performances that only lasted seconds. Hyunjin and Felix have also had live dance solos performances but none that I can remember were contemporary. All good though. I am enjoying your reactions to their dance practices. Thank you.
Try Domino dance practice, Boxer performance, All In and Easy. And something special: Kingdom - Legendary Wars (show with more groups, dance unit had Stray Kids, Ateez and BTOB in it. Unbelievable).

i feel like you’d really appreciate their “Kingdom: Legendary War” performances, if you haven’t checked them out already. all the groups that season did so well, but straykids did a version of Side Effects on that show and it gave chills

Side Effects is my top skz songs and will forever be :') Love that you also like it. Felix has one purely solo song called deep end and there is few songs with him and only couple other members. Muddy Water and Taste for example has more Felix lines. In FNF Felix has a full singing verse that catch many by surprise because they don't except that sound when Felix is actually singing. There is many songs people fully miss that it was Felix because he usually sings more higher register when he is singing singing which is a shame because I absolutely love his tone when he sings, makes my brain go brrrr and happy. Maze of memories the ot8 version has nice rough rap Felix parts. But I'm trying to think of songs with cool dance choreo with also more Felix singing.... Well Taste is only one that comes to my mind right now.
Hey I just found your channel today and watched all your SKZ videos. As you like this choreo so much I would recommend Mirror, Spread my wings and Voices, they are from their pre-debut and debut but the preformances have a similar contemporary high concept approach. As for some of their more 'wow' choreography I would ask for Domino Felix has 1 solo song called Deep End along with a few duets and unit tracks in their discography, but most don't have videos or choreography so may be more for personal consumption rather than on the channel!
Thank you for liking this song, which is also one of my personal favorites. Felix, as a member of skz, has only officially released one solo single "deep end" since his debut 6 years ago. I don't know why Felix's singing is so outstanding but he only has this one. "deep end" is very beautiful and shows Felix's amazing vocal range and singing level. I hope you will enjoy it.
This is not the most complicated choreography, but i appreciate Stray Kids for this performance, it's all unique and full of emotions.

I dont understand anyone who doesn't like this song. I cant just listen to it. I always have to watch it performed.
Felix- “Deep End”!! Multi layering of his voice. Incredible single
