I love the way Perry is talking about the Chelsea Gallagher situation with Arsenal doing the same thing with Smith Row. Gallagher has been offered a 8 year contract and he has turned it down because he said he didn’t want to commit to a contract that long. He has been offered a 2+1 year contract with equal pay with Enzo and Caicedo and has turned it down. He will not be a starter for Chelsea if they don’t suffer the injuries that they had last season with Latvia and Carney and KDH who is he gonna get in front of.
So many of Gallagher's qualities are 100%, but sadly one isn't and that is one of the most important, quality. Playing for England at the Euros demonstrated that.
Gallagher doesn’t want to leave Chelsea!! There’s something about the deal that feels unfair to him. The stats show that he was the best midfielder last season. The deal probably shows they don’t really want him there and I don’t think it makes sense financially for him too. I’ll leave for free if I were him, this club is a shambles. As a person who watched all 38 games last season, I'd advice you take those stats with a grain of salt because they do not reflect the true picture of his season, this is the same guy that couldn't get ahead of Kobbie Maino in the Euros and yet he's good enough for Chelsea? Are we Burnley now? And what has Mount achieved as a player since he's joined United? I'm not talking trophies I just mean him as a player?
What a lying stats. He doesn’t not at 9-10 levels. We are trying to compete with the likes of City, Arsenal and Liverpool. Gallagher is a great las he is not on that level. I will get rid for less. Our midfield is stacked with better players.

Problem with that is his offers will go from athletico in the champions league to mid table teams as he’ll have a whole year of not playing (that’s of course if he doesn’t go on loan)

You can not amortise an academy player. Short-term deals for these players will become the norm. Running around like a headless chicken doesn't necessitate 150k a week.
Is it illegal or crime for a Club to tell a player especially who came up through the Club's academy that it's over, for almost two seasons we don't want to keep you any more, so think you can be sold to another Club?. Why is Gallagher's case making a special scenario when other Clubs do the same?. Chelsea is going to try to strong-arm Gallagher, but Gallagher has Chelsea over a barrel. If he wants a transfer within the EPL, Chelsea can't force him to go to Spain. If an EPL club as I suspect offers less than Atletico because Chelsea is in a weak bargaining position, Chelsea will have to decide whether to go along with that or to lose him on free at the end of the season. Chelsea needs the transfer fee to provide it with more PSR space in the transfer market.
Chelsea has accepted a higher offer from Aston Villa for 55 million and he has turned it down. He has also turned down offers from Tottenham and West Ham. The deal with Madrid is 20 million less than what a EPL team have offered so how’s the club trying to strong arm him and the fact they have offered him three different contracts and he has turned them all down.

He wasn’t part of Poch first team but he was lucky that the Chelsea midfield was injured for basically the whole season so he was a part of the midfield that was literally the only midfield available. The idea was that Latvia would play in the middle three with Enzo and Caicedo and they would be switched with Carney and Lesley Ugochukwu as well as both Palmer and Nkunku. The club have also reduced the players wages by multi millions and now they have a wage structure that they won’t be held to ransom. These clowns think they are paying the new players more than they are paying Gallagher that’s only because he’s not signed his improved contract which would have made him on level wages to Caicedo and he wants more. He’s trying to get the same wages that Mount and Rice are on that’s 250k a week and they are not going to pay him that
