In todays video, we go fishing at a new quarry location that is rumoured to house largemouth bass. I target quarries quite often, and have learned a few techniques and tricks along the way that will help you catch more fish. It wasnt long before I started seeing some action in this ultra clear quarry.

I always figured there’d be fish in there, from what I heard bylaw comes by and leaves tickets where you park though, I’m guessing you didn’t get bothered?
Found another spot to park, adds 10 mins to the walk in but works. It was nice man, will be even better when the bite picks up there

Thanks Rosanne! It was a good little session. I don't know for sure, but I suspect they were put in there at some point. No idea of when or by who, but based on the size of some of the fish, it was long enough ago. This quarry is actually where they got alot of the stone to make the parliament building. Pretty cool!

Any recommendations where I might be able to take my 9yr old around the Carleton Place area? We've been around town a few places and I've snagged some sunfish and a catfish but he is yet to snag anything and is getting discouraged.

Yeah I'm kinda of surprised,although that quarry has frequent visitors so probably used to the sight. Don't want to tangle with beavers though!
