  • New York native Alynda Segarra, a singer-songwriter, left home at 17 to travel the country and perform music. In 2008, Segarra was called "one of America's best songwriters." Now, 16 years later, Hurray for the Riff Raff has released their ninth studio album. From "The Past is Still Alive," here is Hurray for the Riff Raff with "Buffalo."

    The fact this live performance sounds even more beautiful than the album version is really telling of this bands talent. Feels like an old story being told for the first time. Really beautiful

      "Tiger's Blood" by Waxahatchee is another album from this year that is hitting me deep in that same way.

      Funny you mention Saint Cloud. Don’t know if it’s the Brad Cook influence but Vetiver sounds very St Cloud to me. In a great way of course. And saw HFTRR the day after they filmed this in Houston and best show of the year for me. So good!
