My first was Pokémon Black, but I went back to the roots, since Dad had a GameBoy with Blue. He also had a GBColor with Crystal and GBAdvance with Emerald. He was a classic PokéFan. I did own Platinum, and I also got it during the Shaymin event, so I had Oak’s letter. And from first encounter, I got her as my first shiny. I kid you not, I ALMOST soft reset the encounter, thinking she was a cute lil’ glitch (thank Arceus for my lil’ brother telling me about shinies). I named her Mint, since Spearmint didn’t sound right, with Timid as her nature. Now, I know what fire does to grass, so I couldn’t really enhance her speed much, but at least I maxed out her levels. I brought her with my team, wanting to test out her limits, but could someone tell me this (pardon my language): “How the fucc did Mint take down Cynthia’s Garchomp?!?” I mean, yeah I used Seed Flare, but I know for certain that her Garchomp would’ve easily taken Mint down, via out-speeding. Unfortunately, I lost my copy of Platinum, and therefore lost Mint. I wanted to transfer her to Black, then X and onward through the new games, but that’s no longer possible. Even if I got a new copy of Platinum with Oak’s letter, and somehow got the very same Shaymin encounter, it’ll never be the same. An “M”, for Mint, a mad-lass and a trooper…

My first pokemon game wasnt even mainstream, but its one of the littlest shits Mystery Dungeon Red Rescue team. But my first mainstream pokemon game was fire red. However my favorite was Platinum, gen 4 goes dummy
