    Well! Now I'm going to have to make a chenille blanket with this stitch too! I'm working on making a C2C JAYG gingham blanket now, and I'm a few rows in, but I'm genuinely considering frogging it and using this stitch instead. C2C JAYG isn't hard once you get going, but there's a lot of ends to manage, and chenille yarn is a real pain when it comes to end management.

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  4 місяці тому

      Chenille and ends are a nightmare combination! This would be GORGEOUS in a soft chenille 😍

    Could you use this to make a blanket?
    And where those floaters are on sides… how could you do a simple border around the blanket then to also cover up those sides where the floaters are? 😊

      You can pop any border you fancy on! Simply treat it the same as any other blanket when bordering, just sandwich the floated tails in as you go :)

    Beautiful stitch and the video is very easy to follow with clear instructions. I was just wondering about one thing though... how would you work down the sides when putting on a border? Thank you for all your hard work you put in to your videos, it shows.

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  4 місяці тому

      I sandwich in the floats - so crochet the border as normal but crochet over the floats as you go - it hides them all completely! 😀

    I ran across the Trio blanket which seems very similar to the stitch here, except it uses 6+4 and a HDC on the first row. I bought 3 different colorways of the Scheepjes Whirl cakes for it; now I'm torn as to whether to follow what you did or the Trio pattern. She uses a 'fancy' stitch at the end to avoid the bigger holes a chain 3 for the DC leaves at the edge. Do you think that's an issue? I've never used a patter with DC stitch; I have knitted for years but just taught myself crochet for the amigurumis and baby blankets. You're my favorite instructor!!

    • @HookedbyRobin
      @HookedbyRobin  3 місяці тому

      Personally, given how expensive the Whirls are, I'd follow the Trio blanket pattern as it's been designed for the fine yarn :)

    What kind of border would you recommend for this blanket? Do you think you could do four stitches on either end and then put the border around the outside stitches to give the edges a cleaner look with still having the three stitches along the sides? Just brainstorming! It's a lovely blanket. I have been commissioned to make baby blankets for new moms at our church, and I think this would be a good candidate.❤🧶❤️🧶❤️

    You are such a great teacher! You take time to truly explain steps, explaining and showing each step, why and what the stitches looks like. Thank you. 😊

    This would make a great dishcloth stitch. You can make it in colors that match a person's kitchen. You always explain things so well.
