  • A few weeks ago, we popped back to Langford Lakes, as part of building a wildlife showreel, as well as the Langford project.
In today's video, I wanted to try two things: how does a "rawer" edit do? and testing out a live voice-over, explaining more about what I am doing and what I am looking to film.
When we do a trip like this, try to get to the lakes at around 7am, in most cases we have the lakes to ourselves for the first few hours. can be very helpful when it comes to seeing and finding wildlife!
On the morning of this video, it was really misty so I went out of my way, to film some opening establishing frames.
I also wanted to explain more about how I use the EVF and the screen to film the screen to tracks and film wildlife a lot easier, it also, of course, allows me to give my back muscles a rest ( normally meaning I can film for longer).
Also wanted to chat a bit about how and why I chose to add sound effects to a lot of the wildlife work I have been creating the last few weeks!
