I like seeing episodes that put a different spin on the engine/driver dynamic. Most of the time in fan works and the TV series, they're just treated as extensions of the engine. Having them in conflict makes for an interesting story.
Clever story here. Mavis's previous driver learning a lesson about signals the hard way and not doing as he is told. Well done on your stories. You really are very talented at writing :).
I imagine that the rewrite would be about Diesel educating Toby about the set of signals near the Big Station, because the set was in the modernization plan briefly, so Diesel knows about it, but Toby, a branch line engine, doesn’t.
In some instances, NWR Tales seems to have more railway realism than the Thin Clergyman's books! This is why I consider this to be an extension of those stories.
What was with Mavis' horn? Another good story. Mavis' accident reminded me of what happened at Castletown station once when the points jammed and G.H. Wood had derailed. The only difference was that it wasn't from Driver's ignorance.
In your universe, it's been 10 years since Mavis' impatient driver was fired. We don't know what's become of him, possibly regretting for letting his impatience get to him.
The one thing that can kinda get me upset with the official and fan series is that engines and people blame Engines for things entirely out of their control. If Henry saw Mavis’ old driver getting punished for his actions and apologize’s then I wouldn’t have a problem with it but Henry doesn’t apologize. Overall great story and it’s good to see Mavis as a lead roll
I don’t know where you found the Gator model, but I want it now! …Not that I’m one of those people who always asks for models. I’d only get a Trainz model if it has a free public download link.
Knapford resides at the west of Sodor, you're thinking of Vicarstown in the east. I think Mavis was built at the quarry itself. It does say something like that on the wiki.
no1thomasfan vega This was set in 2014 after one of my episodes that I made that year, the title is in the description, and Rosie was pink that year too.

There was one instance in "Thomas & the Rumours", but that was the only instance.

Great episode!
This is something that would've been as S18's "Signals Crossed": Done Right (Loosely). Nice cameos of Scruff and Gator, too.
TheSudrian A0 Fun Fact: This was suppose to be a Signals Crossed adaptation but it feels like an original story as time passes.

Good episode. Although it's just another typical episode about an engine and its driver, but this time it's something a little more exciting.
I really like your new intro, i think it works really well
Fabulous episode as always my friend and can't wait for the next one

Fantastic episode.
Smashing video! 😎

I hope Rosie appears in the next episode.

Well I'm pretty sure beyond the end, Henry would've apologised for blaming him.
LoganDuckThomas#1 Best Thougt you said she was a roll of lead! (The metal)

Great episode hope to see more of this amazing series will we see gator have a role in the series.
welcome back.:)
Why do engines running light always have a brake van in tow?
JMR TV2 It was inspired from TardisRescue’s videos years ago. It was common railway practice back in the day.
It’s what an engine will do if it doesn’t have to take a boat but will take more than a couple days to get where it’s going.
I would’ve been 5 years old when this happened. When I was still getting in to Thomas
2 years ago today!
What's the third episode going to be like?
Brandon Polley Wait and see. I don’t usually reveal any of my episodes.
I'm wondering because Josh Ball and I wish to help out with its script.
I set aside "Percy's Field Trip" till some better ideas are brought up.
Brandon Polley So you don’t want me to work on you and Josh’s story now? Just wondering.
No, no, no.
I didn't mean it like that, I swear.
I honestly didn't think you were working on "Percy's Field Trip" beforehand; I thought you were still as stumped as we were.
Mavis has never been to the big station ?!
Jacob the starbridge 14xx Well once but by accident
NWR1991 but didn't she have to pass the big station when she first arrive ?

Jacob the starbridge 14xx Well yes, the big station (Knapford) comes after Thomas’ branch line.

Why is rosie pink
no1thomasfan vega This was set in 2014 after one of my episodes that I made that year, the title is in the description, and Rosie was pink that year too.
Also, look at the last scene in the episode, Rosie is red.
NWR1991 To me, it sounds like a nice nod at the time.
Why are some people Impatient
Reino capitalist no.1 *Impatient
Tived Nagol Fix that
Reino capitalist no.1 👍🏻
Who knows?
I don't know.
Goof: Rosie had her pink design when helping mavis, but at the end she is using her red design.
Doctor who Fan 02 Please read the description
Never mind!
Sorry :(
I thought the rosie's red design was a newer model and would be used here on out no matter what if she was in a flashback or not
Still it's really cool I got a comment from you
