Yes! The homeless crisis in Australia is appalling. It's happened to us again, with a terminally ill family member. Greedy owners are the norm, sadly. We have been excellent tenants only to get shafted by the wealthy owners. We have been homeless before, both my daughter and I giving interviews to reputable media...not Fox news! To no avail. Local radio is my next port of call. Thinking of all the homeless as I write.
I hope a new place is found soon so this tight-knit family can once again be together soon! It's very sad for a family to be broken-up out of their control, unfortunately.❤❤❤
What a beautiful friendship this is between a horse and a cat. Apparently, horses often have animal friends of all different species. I've read about horses becoming close friends with cats, goats, sheep and other horses, but I've never actually SEEN it before. So seeing this video is just wonderful. Thank you so much. Oh yeah, its a common thing to put a goat or something with a horse (another horse works but...depends how many you have), horses worry so it keeps them cool. My dad in the 50s did it with our Clydesdales, proper actual thing you need to do. 👍

Of course expectations could be wrong! Science has settled it - in the real world and on Dr. UA-cam. Observe! Mammals especially need to be fed and cared for and kept warm and safe. Some are born blind or hairless and can’t walk. But even ducklings who can feed themselves need warmth. Cats climb on horse backs for warmth since the beginning of their initial stable encounters, and though warm vehicles have become an alternative for warmth, the inside of wheel wells and engine compartments-not a good one for transport. My neighborhood feral cat is up on my roof right now catching early rays and probably attic heat, so getting down is not a big deal. That the urge to snuggle often remains in adult warm-blooded animals is good for their young and others. Domesticated or not (see the lioness who adopted an antelope; and I’m not sure domestic cats are domesticated or horses either as a species).
You answered your own question! It's a part of domestication. Only breeding the friendliest individuals for generations, and you get animals with little fear or suspicion, which opens the door for these kinds of relationships.
