Feral foal found - rescuing a foal

- We were called out multiple times about a foal standing by its self on the range.. we drove out two times to hike around and find him, both times we couldn’t locate him.. day and half later, we get another message and someone stopping in at our house, a foal is standing by its self by the catch corrals on the range.
She shows us on her phone, we head out immediately
There he was, almost like he was waiting for us.
This video shows us approaching him, moving him into the catch corral and gently creating first touch.
It took about half hour before he was comfortable with us, we gave him some equine electro lites and afew squirts of milk.
He was hooked, dehydrated and scared he knew we are safety.
We load him up into our truck can... Thankyou Duramax for being so spacious
And bring him home.
What we didn’t know was how much he would impact our lives in a short amount of time.
He is pure joy
Unconditionally love and the biggest ham.
He swiftly took internet by storm and we can not get enough of him
Follow along on his journey

So cute. But please get this foal a nanny mare or experience mare companion if you can. So she can teach him good manners while he's growing. Thank you for saving him.
Absolutely. A wise comment.
I totally agree.
What's a nanny mare?
@@collettekensinger3803
I believe it's a mare that is older and cant have foals anymore but is trained in rearing orphaned foals.
Please don't quote me on this I'm only guessing from what I remember from my animal science class.
@@gerrycoleman7290 hey Gerry😁
@@KingsMom831 Hey.
So adorable. He’s pawing when he drinks from the bucket like he would with his mom. He equates that milk with his mom. Low selenium considering his start in life is not unusual and an easy fix. So wonderful these people rescued him.Couldn’t wish for anyone better.
As a horse person my whole life, these things touch my heart very deeply! Don't let any negative comments get to you! Bless y'all for helping this baby, the rewards of love, and lots of milk kisses will be the greatest! Y'all were meant to find this baby, thanks for all your hard work!❤😍
Kindness
Well said! 👏👏❤💪🐎🐎
I am new to this channel having just stumbled across it but I can’t imagine any negative comments about this video, these people or what they are doing! Some people are just horrible!

@@VickieV1333 we are raised with the saying it takes all kinds... sometimes I feel there is a huge difference between a certain side weighing more 🙄🤣
@@Twisted.Ginger Well said!
I' m sad for his mother. She must have been very desperate to lose her baby.
Who knows, mabye the mother abandoned him/her
@@sonher2004 she probably did, but it wouldn’t have been easy for her to leave.
You don't know. Animals, humans included can sometimes just "turn" on their young, rejecting or even killing them and not lose a minute of sleep over it.
it's more like she abandoned it because it collapsed and couldn't keep up with the herd. Woman need to stop playing the victim card.
Jeremy Eden you sound like you have a serious problem 😂😂😂😂
So thin and weak and was suffering-God bless and thank you-for your love for life
I saw a newborn & now he is 4 or 5 days old, they are like that, long legs & thin body.
@@lagopusvulpuz1571 I would more suprised if the horse was chonky.
He is adorable, they are social animals and it will take others of his kind to teach him to be a well rounded horse.
Check their videos over the last few weeks. 😉 They're trying to find a foster mom for him, but no luck so far.
I can't believe y'all just carried him home on your lap in the back of a king cab 😂
If that ain’t a pick truck commercial then I don’t know what is.
We adopted a Shetland pony from my sisters friend because she wasn't able to care for him properly.
We had a large Chevy van and put him inside. He rode the whole way home looking over my shoulder while I drove.
He was very interested in everything outside the van, just like a dog. Lol
Several people almost busted their necks doing triple takes at stop lights after they spotted him, they kept having to look again to see that, yes, it was a pony standing with his head over my shoulder and not a large dog.
😂😂😂
Do you know how many times I've had to do that when thoroughbred foals have to go to the vet clinic.?
@@KamaraNoir k
hi and
I love how you were so patient to earn her trust instead of just roping her and scaring her I'm sure she's been through a lot I'm so happy patient loving people found her
Hope all will be ok and little one grows up healthy. Kind you two are! ♥️♥️
Ditto! 🤎
it's a male.
HIM...
Is it old enough to be off mother's milk?
This little one needs an old pony even to teach it manners and how to be in a herd. Looking forward to watching its story.
Yes the critical socialization time for many animal babies
Probably why he got pushed out by his own herd.
. *THERE MUST BE A SPECIAL PLACE IN HEAVEN FOR THOSE WHO HELP ANIMALS IN NEED.*
I’m so happy this little orphan was rescued by a loving family.
Ranger is almost all grown now. But look at how little was.❤
That's why the herd left him behind ,they are flight animals and he couldn't come along. So glad you found him and give him a good home, but he needs a surrogate mum to learn him the horse things that are important for him. Thank you for sharing and rescuing this beautiful foal
They know.
@@vikingsong2068 Yep... not sure why everyone is assuming they don't!
I didn't, now I do
Yes❤
I didn't know this, I thought maybe his mama had died
We used to have a gelding that was wonderful to foals. He helped with several foals.
Smell..Touch..
WE GOT YOU..
WE WILL LOVE YOU..
THANK YOU..
🤗💖😸🤗💖😸
The happiness in his eyes is so apparent shortly after his rescue. You guys did good.
He's so trusting and adorable. I love how he acts like a little goofball sometimes. This one is going to have a wonderful personality. ❤👍
Hard to believe Ranger was so scared of you at first. He sure got over it in a hurry! A rascal from the very beginning! I love watching him give you milky kisses.
I'd forgotten what an adorable baby he was!
Thank you for saving him! ❤️
This foal will return the favor one day 😊💖🐎
Thanks for expressing LOVE to this foul This video is very encouraging hope for follow-up on his or hers progress!🐎💖💞💖
Reminds me of my old Honda! Runnin fine, runnin fine, AAAAND the battery's dead
Hahaha, I have a Honda to. It was the best van for the first 6 months. Then bam, nothing but issues after that. We did get it used though.
A honda van? The Acty? That's so cool! Sourcing parts is probably hell though.
Yeah that's not normal.
@@stalincat2457 it's a Honda Odyssey. They're supposed to be one of the top of the line vans in the US but I think my next van will be a Toyota Sienna until we have enough saved for a Ford Transit.
Beautiful....pure love 💘heals everyone
....thank you 🐎🐎🐎🐾🐾🐾🥳🥳
The legs on that baby! Thanks for caring for him🥰
💕🐎💕
Foals are so adorable- this little one more than most, so lucky, both you and him. Do you believe the selenium deficiency could be a reason he got left behind, if he was too tired to keep up?
This is a great theory. I would venture to say yes. I have horses, but I’m no vet. Your theory makes a lot of sense to me though.
I was thinking the same.
that's probably the case... horses (or most wild animals in general) tend to leave their young behind if they are sick and don't think they'll be able to keep up. since selenium deficiency can cause weakness and fatigue, that little guy probably couldn't keep up with the herd.
Thank you for taking him in he needs a mother
He is a beaut, well done on saving him 👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
God Bless you for having such Good Hearts. 🙏♥️💫
The fact that you didn’t rope the baby, and cause more stress is just amazing, you guys are beautiful
So precious! Thank you for saving him and posting this video!
TBeautiful foal! Thank you for rescuing him! You’re so great Candice and Jordan!!❤️🐎
Thank you for helping that sweet foal! ❤🥰🐎🐴
Such a sweet little boy. I'm looking forward to watching him grow up. You're wonderful for taking him in.
He's lucky you found him..he's thanking you with those kisses
Can't believe it has been 2 years! Ranger has grown into a handsome horse!
Beautiful baby, good.luck with the baby! 🙏❤️🙏
My gelding turned out to be an excellent nanny, but the foal was older and the gelding was mellow. Introduced them thru the fence first.
Watched both rescue videos, and since I couldn't leave a comment on the other I just came here to say that Jordan's horsemanship is really amazing, the timing of pressure and release he had while gaining trust with that foal was like poetry
Kl
God bless you for your loving kindness towards this beautiful creature God created, 🎯👍🙏
I love that little fella. His instant personality turning your life upside down. He has grown into a wonderful and beautifully colored horse.❤😊
What a natural heart warming video. Content is so forced these days, this stands out as authentic and respectful to the subject.

Very sweet young fella. Thanks for bringing him home...too young to be out in the wild without 'mom'. So many great 'gifts' of life in our lives.
Wow, amazed this sweet little creature managed to survive without food AND evade predators. What a fighter!

That's so cute and adorable that you rescue debt baby Philly..
What a silly foal! Hope he gets a clean bill of health from vet and can hang out with your other horses 😊

What a beautiful coat and eyes this little man has!
He’s gorgeous and has such an adorable character on top
Yes, I see so many foals and mares but this bugger caught my heart. There is something to be said about his eyes, very beautiful and his spiffy little personality. 🐴
What beautiful looking little horse. You are blessed to have saved him .win win for all
Maybe the herd was spooked & he couldn't keep up. What a little sweetheart. Am so glad you rescued him.
Love the foal, and the Boston Terrier!!
Poor baby. I can’t even imagine the heartbreak and confusion this horse is feeling. Not to have your mom just isn’t right, you know!
So tiny but so strong and beautiful. Hes a beautiful 🐎 thank god y'all found him in time. Once you said your such a cutie his head went up and down saying thanks mama.💙💙
You are Mommy and Daddy now! He is so cute. Thank you for saving him.
So happy you saved her!!! ❤️
That’s odd most mares will not leave their babies like that
as shown in the video he collapsed a lot so its possible he couldn't keep up with the herd and mother was forced to abandon him. Super upsetting nonetheless, but at least he's getting the nourishment he needs now.
You can see that there is something wrong with that foal. Healthy foals don't fall down like that. He probably couldn't keep up with the herd.
You folks are awesome!!!
This baby happy, and loved now.
That's all he'll ever need, turn into a beautiful horse.
May haertfelt thanks for doing what you do!!!
What a beautiful journey you're taking together. Thank you for saving him from a horrible fate. His personality is so wonderful!! Knowing there are several people involved; you're all so lucky to have one another now and he's sure to grow into an incredible horse.
God bless you for helping this sweet Angel oh my goodness 🥰🐎
I’m so jealous! I think it’s absolutely wonderful that you are caring for this baby.
Me too! Jelly!! 😍😭.... Someday!!!

How precious! I love seeing him gain trust & falling in love with his rescuers. Plz do follow-ups ... I wanna watch this baby grow. 👍
Earlier today I saw you saving the foal from the muck and now this vid. I will keep watching as you bring this baby to where he may live free with others. Thank you so much for your work!
What a beautiful pony you’ve rescued! Bless your heart for taking care of him. I will also follow your story- as he grows strong & healthy. 🐴
Baby Ranger 😍 my heart.... Cannot... Take it!
So beautiful so perfect just like nature intended 🥰🤗.
How sweet he is! And gorgeous too. God blessed him by you taking care of him.
It is always bemusing how people think God rescued him. Wouldn't it have made more sense for God to bless him by his dam taking care of him in the first place, rather than making it necessary for humans to rescue him?
@@pearlbonnie1369 Lol, God is love ...so yeah- love saved this bub- their knowledge and experience is important too... But how the baby made his way to the corral? - I read the edit where they looked for him in the range- but couldn't find him, so for him to turn up on his own is a bit of Divine intervention I reckon...!
Much love to you..🙋☮️♥️
@@cheremichael367 Why did gid/love allow him to be separated from his dam in the first place? That's not very good planning, is it? If god/love is capable of steering him to a particular place, wouldn't god/love also be capable of keeping him with his dam?
@@pearlbonnie1369 There is God, then there is nature...the 2 are quite seperate... But I do believe the girls spending all that time out on the range- looking for the bub, well they found it... Odd how it found the yard...that part is a lovely mystery!!
But yeah- 'nature red in tooth and claw' is an old saying, nothing loving about that...
I guess that's why I love native ways- help look after the animals, respect them, be good to the land and it's animals..
Great rescue!!! Blessings!!!
Sweet and caring people! Thank you!
♥️♾🖖🏼🐴♾♥️
ThankYou ThankYou ThankYou!!!
So happy YOU FOUND THIS BABY!YOUR CHEERFUL VOICE IS HEALING ❤ The abandonment can be traumatic experience! BOTH OF YOU ARE BEAUTIFUL PEOPLE! LOTS OF CARE,LOVE AND NURTURING! I DO HOPE THIS BABY GETS TOO BE WITH OTHER 🐎 GOD BLESS Y'ALL!

Love, food, and a safe place-bless you people. He IS 😊
Both of you love horses so much it’s fun to watch your videos. Your wife really enjoys playing with the little folks and you do too. It’s amazing to have this kind of love for an animal take care keep doing what you’re doing.
