- Memphis history wouldn't be complete without a mention of a man whose name has become synonymous with wellness. Just say the words "Doctor Champion" and folks in town will know exactly who you mean.
The Bluff City says goodbye to legendary, longtime pharmacist and herbalist Dr. Charles Champion.
Dr. Charles Champion, for Champion's Pharmacy and Herb Store, died at the age of 92.,,blessings
A few years ago, I had the privilidge to meet Doctor Champion at the store through a mutual friend. When he took my hand, I felt a power move though me that is hard to explain. He was a man of keen intellect, power and wisdom. I will always remember him with great fondness.
Amazing story, amazing man, amazing family. Our communities desperately need to go back to this small town pharmacy model as well as the healing herbs that should be accessible to all.
There is nothing like a wise doctor that is knowledgeable of home remedies!! God bless them as remedy doctors. The best!!
