Dada if the lateral support is shear connection then can it prevent lateral torsional buckling that much? Or We have to provide horizontal bracing for triangulation & break this Lx
Practically provide some sort of resistant in the form of diaphram action..but it is ignored as concrete crush much before steel yield...Still, please consult a competent person as its a subject of advance topic.
Hi Sir, for Excavation and Lateral Support (ELS) Design , if the lateral torsional buckling is too high, we will use tie beams to provide the lateral restraint, is it necessary to also install the king post at the location of tie beam so that the lateral force can be transferred to the ground?
