thank you... so a 5250mm high steel frame size at most, 8m x 8m in 2 bays with haunching's eg unbraced ie now W bracings wont fall down,,, im having problems with building control about it

Sir, in moment resisting frame for pipe rack like structure not only gravity load will be there . Wind load and seismic load will be there . In that case bracing will be effective for moment resisting frame. Kindly clarify. Why bracing are not allowed in moment resisting frame

Excellent as always ! Unfortunely the sound level is too low even when we are the maximum

In a braced system structure, if one part is braced and the other part of the building is not, does the unbraced part should have pinned beam-column connection? or it should have moment connection?
My second question, what is a "dual system"? I heard you can mix moment frame system and braced frame system

yes it's pinned..that's why we provide bracing. also you can make a frame both moment connected and braced to make it more rigid.

I believe in cases where both vertical and lateral forces exist the dual system is needed! Bracing and shear elements are to be utilized

    Hello sir,
My question is, If there is a big technological structure where many equipments are supported on 2 to 3 floors, having vertical loads , frictional loads, bundle pull for exchangers, in that case how to determines which frame is suitable and what type of support should be given ?
