I haven't seen anyone talk about diffusing oregano oil if you're sick so if I'm repeating myself, I'm sorry. I had a little boy that I fostered for years. He had a huge sensitivity to antibiotics so I'd begun reading about old healing ways. I found doterra but there are many really good oils.... they need to say therapeutic grade though. For my little guy, it worked so well that he always asked for oregano oil once he'd developed strep symptoms or ear infection. He loved the hot smell because he associated it with feeling better! It made my house smell like an Italian restaurant. 😂 Anyway, I just wanted to bring up the diffusing method. Thanks for all your suggestions!

Oregano oil got rid of my dog's terrible cough that he'd had for weeks and nothing I tried worked I read conflicting things about safely giving oregano oil to dogs but I put two drops in about a 1/4 cup of coconut oil and mixed in 1 tsp turmeric. Gave him 1 tsp 3x/day and the cough was completely gone by day 3. Oh, and he loved it, never had to coax him to take it. Thank you for this informative video!

The store I got it from in Brooklyn New York no longer has The same kind instead they gave me a bottle that was organic but it was probably made from the yellow already know it’s not a strong doesn’t work as well but it still works. My sister sent me your UA-cam and now I’m so excited about growing I’m going to your other videos of medicinal herb thanks for sharing this made my day.

Oregano is a warming oil and can be too much for very sensitive skin if used straight (neat.) Heidi is very correct in suggesting dilution with a carrier oil. There is another method of use and that is applying neat and putting a carrier oil on top of skin. This is also good to remember in case of an accidental spill or splash or maybe that area of skin was more sensitive than you thought it was. If you find yourself with a warming oil in the wrong spot or didn't dilute it enough for you, DO NOT USE WATER! This will speed up the absorption and make it hotter. Apply carrier oil right on top of affected area to slow down the oregano. In an emergency, you can use any neutral oil, vegetable oil, mineral oil, anything that is nearby that will help. But please for the love of God don't use water.

I’ve been using oil of oregano oil. It’s the Mediterranean one. This week I wasn’t sure if I have a cold or just an allergies… Mine has olive oil in it. I put two drops under my tongue and drink a little water with it. Last night i did it again too and I think it’s helping. I have sinus issues but no cough, fever or aches and pains so I’m thinking it’s more of a build up of being out of town and eating at restaurants that have hidden sugar and possible seed oils which I don’t do at home.. I love your videos! Always learn so much!

We get even more rain where we are at, with 120" annual average and up to 160". Portland gets only 43", which is a little less than Seattle. The golden oregano here dies completely back while the Mediterranean oregano does keep some green.

To your subscribers If they're not familiar with oregano ESSENTIAL OIL never use it alone on your skin, mix it with Olive oil, grape seed oil, avocado oil, etc. If you're going to ingest it putting one drop in an empty capsule is ok.and take the capsule with juice or water.Never ingest the ESSENTIAL OIL ALONE it could burn your insides. The best way to ingest oregano is by using the LEAF and making a TEA.also of coarse the way Heidi says to take it.Great video Heidi great info.BLESSINGS.

Yes ive heard oregano is excellent for chickens! (Actually think Perdue farms started using it too) So glad you mentioned that...natural antibiotic. I use it as well, especially since I had the virus...really helped.

Do you use oregano for the common cold, since it has antiviral properties? If so, how do you use it? As a tea, in dishes or essential oil?

Would be great if you shared videos for ear infection/ear pain oil drops recipe, the eye drops you’ve made before, and arthritis pain salve recipes. I’m beginning to make all these things to store up for my family’s winter medicine cabinet in the event COVID majorly disrupts our health system and abilities to refill our medications during the WINTERtime.

I do have video recipes for the eye drops and the muscle and joint rub. They are both old so the lighting and color is not great but you can still get the idea. I will also be making a new muscle rub recipe video in the future but here is the link to the old one: ua-cam.com/video/esBWWj9MFKQ/v-deo.html
      Eye drops: ua-cam.com/video/8EFTJU05D1g/v-deo.html
I do not have an ear infection oil recipe but I do have one for an antibiotic extract that I did link in the description box above just under the video. Please make sure to click on SHOW MORE or the little grey arrow just under the video to open the description box to see all of our links

I just printed off some free seed packet templates off the internet and started selling off seeds for 1 euro on ebay since so many seeds are sold out at the moment. The majoram and oregano are flowering at the moment, If you live in eu i could send some out in about a month when they are ripe. I thonk they might be cross polinated though because they grow next to each other in a garden bed.

Dearest Heidi, Thank you so much for sharing your given gift of knowledge in all you do. It is very much appreciated. I have learned so much from you.
Heidi, I would so very much, love to see where and how you keep the storage of all the jars of dried herbs, oils, wines, etc.
Do you have a whole separate room you use and do you keep it a specific humidity, temperature,
along with limited natural or artificial light?
Thank you again ...... Blessings to you, your husband and family. Merry Christmas 🎄 and Best Wishes Always ....... Gen from Massachusetts
