just saw a trailer for 30 years of living sacrifice and i remembered i heard this song about 10 or 11 years ago.... i couldn't remember the name tho but i found it...... damn this bring back some memories hahahaha
@FMPuppet I just saw them about a year ago. They are still around playing better than ever. Look up some tour dates and you might be able to make it to a show some day...God Bless.
I wander if Living Sacrifice would ever plan an acoustic tour, I know that once my band Heart Of Flesh is completed whenever it's God's timing for us that we'll plan some acoustic tours for people like my parents and sister who hate and can't stand metal.
Someone needs to invent a time machine to bring us back to when Living Sacrifice had two drummers and when Zao had no bassist. If anything, we need a Furnace fest reboot!
You probably dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest series on Instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother for the last months xD
@Rawk4Life we are ALL hypocrites because we are ALL sinners so don't judge Derek Hill for saying that Christians don't like to mosh because there are plenty of Christians that do and plenty that don't.
People like that have no idea what moshing is even like. It looks like "fighting", but it is not. It's pushing shoving, etc. If someone does take a blow, it isn't intentional, and there is great respect for those who participate in it by others who are also in the pit with you. There is a certain etiquette to it. They just don't get it.
The more times I see this, the more I notice that the stand up drummer was just slowing down Lance Garvin, as he seemed like a half second behind the beat on Reborn Empowered. It also appeared like he was trying to steal Lance's thunder in the way he played.
@@electricnebraska I was already a big fan of metal bands (Sepultura, Soulfly, Slipknot) that used heavy percussion, so I was completely sold on The Hammering Process. The percussion really added to the band and that album. I tried to cover your parts on top of Lance’s when I first started playing drums and picked up this album 20 years ago. The closest experience I had to seeing the band live was on the Furnace Fest and Hammering Process DVDs. I could tell you had chops just from watching these videos. Hammering-Conceived era has been my fav Living Sacrifice lineup.
Christian metal..... because Jesus has always been needing us to growl like demons, right?

Who told you that demons growl? As far as I know the demons belonged to the choir of angels in heaven before being expelled. God speaks the sound no matter what you do or the silence
@dogeymon83 So your point is that Christian metal cannot be used as a ministry? I don't understand the thinking behind that. Too many call it blasphemy without understanding it's purpose. I find it blasphemous to put a limit on what God can use as a medium for his message. I grew up listening to bands like Slayer, Testament, Suffocation, Death, Cannibal Corpse, etc. Christian metal bands exist for those of us who cannot/will not listen to the radio friendly/contemporary christian music that is being offered. Being a musician in a christian metal band, I will not play anything other than metal. I've tried doing the contemporary thing and it just doesn't work for me. I am a firm believer that if you are trying to convey a message, in any format, you should be doing it wholeheartedly, otherwise you will more likely alienate those who you are trying to reach. For me, metal is the only way.
Ironically bands like Living Sacrifice are more on fire for God and reach out to more youth with their ministry than almost every other Christian music industry put together. Good job with your bigotry.
Some Christians are meak and mild, in the back performing admin duties for the war. Other Christians are brutal and laying it down on the front lines. Their music preferences reflect their personality traits. 'Aint no choir boys in this hood.
I would be worried about what kind of self-righteousness has let you hear demons in the first place. I hear worship shining a light into the darkness.
They used to play small venues in memphis all the time back in the late 90s. Caught em twice. Brutal fuckn shows.
Melhor banda de metal cristão

Awesome that there is two drummers
They constantly come up with the coolest unusual beats, soo underated
years later and i still love how the drummer loses his stick and just gets another while staying in beat
exactley!
This has been my jam since I first heard it back in '97. Slipknot is cool, but not the OG hardest.
Love this song such a balls out, heavy song!!! I'm assuming high quality refers to the vid quality...
Lance is going bananas!!! Awesome!

Classic! I love these guys!!!
One of the best!
UGGGGGGGHHHH THIS MAKES ME SO ANGRY!!!! I wish I was older and was able to see these guys live back then... OMG >_< I want to cry D:
You’re older now… go see them in Tennessee this month.
So glad this video is back up. I was really mad when the low quality one disappeared.
Thanks for sharing, I have been a fan of LS since 96.
The drummer is gangsta!! Beastly riffs!!
I was at this show! Thought the venue looked like Sloss, checked the description, sure enough: it's Furnace Fest.
the boy is leanin' into 'em.
awesome
@craigime It is called 'something more' off their reborn empowered album
If Joey Jordison is Darth Maul, Lance is Emperor Palpatine.
Lance garvin and Matthew putman 👍

Just found out about Furnace fest 2020!
Christians love to mosh! Look up Impending Doom, Fit For A King, or any other Living Sacrifice song. We have something to mosh for!
You probably dont care but if you're stoned like me atm you can watch pretty much all of the latest series on Instaflixxer. Been streaming with my brother for the last months xD
@Ricky Kaiden yea, I've been using Instaflixxer for months myself :D
I have the lower quality version, the voice in this version is too high, while in the lower quality version you can hear the drums very well.
L' seance Francois Goth haffenie wedding!
Lance!
Lance Garvin for the win every single time

hey, whats the song after reborn empowered?
Why is there a Mr. Bean video on the suggestions?
Lance Garvin could’ve been the drummer for Slipknot. For some reason his style makes me think of Jordison (or vice versa).
Living sacrifice deis

I wasn't trying to steal Lance's thunder. We were just having a good time. The albums were for perfect playing, the live show was for pure rock fury.

@@girlscoutboys Can't thank you enough for the support.
They have never those screams in there?Their! Eux-Memes
Leviathan...Tan satan b' nepesh
Lance Garvin is way better than any secular and saved drummer ( Aug 1 2021 )
He’s very underrated that’s for sure but what about Matt greiner
It's definitely better. :)
Tom toms rule!
My goodness. Is this audience dead? Must be Baptists or Lutherans??!!!
Pent up acostals
It's Furnace Fest. Secular event/music festival...
This crowd fucking sucked. Fireworks aimed at an oil painting.
GTFO
