Scalping the market it's hardwork specially waking up at 3:00 am for London Session in order to being able to go to work at 9 its exhausting...!!! Already testing the system and still have long way to go but like many others , already seeing more blue than red and that's priceless... Question. What if it is your primary indicator that you are waiting on to catch up to your secondary indicator - does the one candle rule still apply?
I’ll give this strategy a try. I’ve basically been taking the trade even if it takes two or more days for the other indicators to catch up to my entrance indicator. I love having objective rules to follow. Take all emotion out of the game
Much respect. Just found your channel now fully in. Started in 2009 also but fell away due to ppl telling me I was a fool .. this market really works with my personality. Love your advise. You shoot from the hip! And that's what I really like. The first video I watched was the big banks video. And right then I knew I should have went with my gut and kept at this. However it's never to late. And this work you're doing is going to keep me from making some of the mistakes I would've if I had started back in 09'. this episode needs a really big mark, i'm here after 3 weeks trying to state hard rules on my backtesting and i had the most doubts on backtesting volume indicators and was really helpfull.
i was so entangled about when this rule aplies or not. Thanks man.

I have been waiting for this answer for like couple of weeks.
Was a little bit worried as the podcast runs but relieved my testing method was not affected by this new piece of information.
My backtest data now runs over 5000 lines of excel - got me months to test them out.
I started with zero forex knowledge back in Nov 2018 and now everything just seems to get into shape. I would not have get to this point without all the pointers from VP.
I cant say too much on the result because I have not even make a single demo trade even after 5 months of testing. The time shall come and I will let you know.

VP you can creat a telegram group were by no one can send you massage and you link it in to ur twitter and you send the indicators to the members of the telegram group and when your done with ur channel you can delete the group, that’s a option if the website keeps stressing you out
I need to go back through my testing and add these ones in then! Actually excited to see the numbers after this tweak, because in backtesting I didnt take the trade until all of them agreed on the first confirmation, i saw so many that I would have not been able to enter all agree the next day!!
I'm also wondering about this, ..when not all indicators are in agreement at the same time.
Now I can put One or Two extra condition such as 'One Candle' rule, or 'pips max' or 'pullback at the entry price or etc.

In my past I've spent quite a bit of money on a elliott wave courses, and found myself stairing at my computer screen for hours on end, trying to look for patterns in the market, that actually looking for trade setups, anyway just thought I'd share my experience,
by the way I'm still back testing my algo, but I'm pritty conferdent, I'll make my system work sooner rather than later.

Well, I have a decision to make; do I stick with my current rules for triggering trades, which is giving me wins over 3/4 of the time, or do I continue to follow you to the T and change how I test and how I will trade? Part of me wishes I found your channel after you were done. ;) Keep it up brother. The NNFX Discord, specifically the private channels, might be a short-term solution to your email problem. These are highly motivated followers who can keep a secret and would take the most value from whatever you have to offer. Just a thought.

Nice.. this is really relevent to my current situation. I have a main indicator that tells me long or short however i havent managed to fully filter out consolidation.. i have minimised it as much as i could but have found through backtesting that the 1 candle rule definatley comes into play for false moves.. and waiting that 1-2.. 3 ive found and your done or missed.. really keeps you out of the trade.. read your charts people they can tell you the story..

A collective groan heard around the world...blacklisted emails...algos hanging in the balance. Who says podcasts can't be full of intrigue and mystery? Awesome advice for a trade mulligan. Each little nugget to enhance the algo translates into less losing trades and more winning trades, and who doesn't like that? I wondered about this (as many probably have) with an itchy trigger finger hovering above the return key. This second chance tactic mitigates the urge to trade by "feel", commit FOMO trades and throw good money away which of course, are some of the cardinal sins perpetrated by the 99% and instead, keeps us true to following the RULES, adhering to the prescribed psychology and well, making informed decisions. I, and my ROI thank you, VP...
In my back testing and now my forward testing I've found that even a 1 candle deviation reduced my win rate by almost 10%! For me it seems better to not trade unless all the stars align!
And this is exactly why you test! Take note traders.
All stars are meant to align in the first place. The one candle rule is for when they don’t line up and you are given only one candle for them to catch up
Have your web administrator set you up a private mail server including mailman which is a mailing list software.
Get a private domain name for this server.
Get a VPS or Dedicated server that has enough resources to run your mailing list.
Make sure he adds, SPF DKIM and DMARC to your dns settings.
Check the ipaddress of your server against all blacklists, plenty of tools online, if its blacklisted ask your host to provide you with an ip address that is not.
As your web developer to look into gmail postmaster tools to make sure your mailing list can be received by them.

What about if your baseline is saying not yet? Let's say... 5 candles ago your main 2 line cross indicator gave you an entry signal, and now the current candle crosses your baseline & lines up with everything else (but as I said, your 2 line cross main entry signal gave you an entry a couple candles ago & it's still in your favour)... as the baseline is also an entry signal would you enter?
It's a green light, up to a point. I have a video on it, you're just not there yet.

if 2nd confirmation indicator is giving a signal prior to Main confirmation indicator, is it still a go ?

yep agreed........if that first bar (that was not supported by all indi's) did move significantly and eat into your potential profit ...then forget it .....its not worth the FOMO risks......you get a lot of this across all timeframes - N
I've noticed backtesting seems to be easier on the weekends as less cpu output ,thanks for the advice
I am still catching every peace of your puzzle (algorithm). I understand every details what you are talking, but my problem is how to apply it (indicators) to MT4. I need a litlle more time, because english is not my first language (Croatia). You be sure 100% that I am one of 10000 users, who really wants learn this, so VP thank you for everything.

If you can't install indicators to MT4 I honestly don't think you can be profitable using this system. That's like wanting to become a moto GP driver but struggling to drive a bicycle.

i guess it might depend on your back testing & forward testing result... the important thing is to follow the rule that you had when doing testing.. if your test shows it's ok to wait to enter trade, then you should enter trade. if your test show it's not ok, then don't. shouldn't it be this way?

Thanks VP for the your tips. Your approach is helping us research and learn by force. Today I finally wrote down a trading plan😀 after months of being all over with no clear structure. As for your email list, unfortunately you may not be able to maintain a mail list of more than 2000 for free. Email list is an asset that pay back in the future but maintaining the huge list will cost some monthly $$.

I was feeling ignored but understand email issues.
'ONE CANDLE RULE " AND BRIDGE TOO FAR" MAY BE ARE NOT SO CLEAR OR MAY BE IS MY ENGLISH. TWO DIFFERENT WAY TO CATCH UP THE ALGORITHM....BUT BOTH ARE IN CONFLICTING...
As I understand it, the "bridge to far" is dealing with your baseline, so all your confirmation indicators lined up within the one day but baseline was under still...The "One candle rule" is dealing with your confirmation indicators and if your 2nd confirmation indicator didn't line up after the one day with the 1st confirmation indicator then the bridge to far rule is irrelevant because the trade has now become untradeable completely...Hope this helps
