    Great video, i travel to Italy in July and want to fly my Mavic 3 and Avata will the A1.A3 cover me to fly my drones legally in Italy?

    • @connectionearth
      @connectionearth  3 місяці тому +1

      Hey there! Yes! Starting 01/01/2024 there is a new regulation with some additional categories. In this case both the Avata and the Mavic 3 are under 900gr. See as follow:
      >>Subcategory: A1 (can also fly in subcategory A3)
      >>Operational restrictions:
      1. No flight expected over uninvolved people (if it happens, overflight should be minimised);
      2. No flight over assemblies of people;
      3. Maintain flight altitude below 120m above ground level.
      >>Drone operator registration: Yes
      >>Remote pilot competence
      1. Read carefully the user manual
      2. Obtain a ‘Proof of completion for online training’ for A1/A3 ‘open’ subcategory by:
      2a. Completing the online training
      2b. Passing the online theoretical exam

      If you arelying your drone in Italy, you need to register the drone on the Italian D-flight portal: www.d-flight.it/new_portal/en/services/registrazione-e-gestione-account/
      No need for you to take the pilot license but you should register as a drone operator - see link above. Make sure to have an insurance to cover the drone.

      Hey Jerome, thanks! Here you will find the answer:
      "All drone operations conducted in the EASA Member States must comply with the Drone Regulation, no matter what the nationality of the operator or remote pilot is. Therefore, as a non-EU resident, you are also required to register with the National Aviation Authority of the first EU country where you intend to operate.
      You will then be issued with a ‘drone operator registration number’ that needs to be displayed with a sticker on all the drones you own. You must also upload it into the ‘remote identification system’ of your drone(s).
      Once registered in the host country, the drone operator’s registration will be valid across Europe and the operator will be required to follow all the provisions of the Drone Regulation."

      Hey Kevin, the D-Flight is the portal to become a drone operator in Italy only. If you are looking to become a drone operator in your own country you should follow the National rules.

      “If you are a resident of a non-EASA Member State and plan to visit and operate a drone in an EASA Member State, you need to register as a drone operator with the National Aviation Authority of the first EASA state you intend to operate from.
      Once you are registered in your host EASA Member State, this will be valid across the rest of EASA Member States. You don’t need to register in another EASA Member State again.
      You also need to train and pass the drone pilot’s certificate online exam and get the European certificate in any EASA Member State. Some National Aviation Authorities offer the training and exam in English.
      And of course, you need to comply with the European Drone regulations.”

    Hi there! I also got my A1/A3 course from Lucemburg 🇱🇺 through this website. In live in another EU country though. How can I have a A2 certificate - only in Luxemburg or also possible to do it in my own country of residence?

    • @connectionearth

      Hello thanks!! The A2 needs a practice test and you should do it in your own country. You can also take it in Luxembourg but you need to fly/drive there to take the test in person. Hope this helps!

    Hey Pier, I am from the United States and want to fly my drone in Italy. I have to register it through D-Flight, but it is asking for my tax payer ID number to register. I don't understand why it is asking for this sensitive information. Do you have any insight?

    • @connectionearth
      @connectionearth  20 днів тому

      Hey Patrick, thanks for the message. The D-flight will release you a QR code that you need to stick to the drone. In case of any issue (you damage something, you hit a person etc) the QR code will make your drone identifiable.

      Hey man! You don't need to register in all the countries, but just in the first one you intend to fly your drone. If your first country is Italy, then get the drone operator QR code in Italy and it will be OK in the rest of Europe. www.d-flight.it/new_portal/en/services/registrazione-e-gestione-account/
