We just got back from Disney world last week! We went into story book circus and let the kids ( 4 year old twins and 1 year old) run in the splash pad. We changed them into PJS and noticed the fireworks were right behind Pete’s silly sideshow. My kids had the whole place to themselves, dancing and enjoying the night as speakers were blasting in the music. We didn’t see the projections but dancing to the music as a family in a deserted spot with fireworks directly behind us last minute was MAGICAL ✨
WOW. Thank you for this!! I read your comment a few weeks ago when I was considering the fireworks party and I decided to try doing what you did. We'll never fight that crowd in front of the castle again! The area was deserted. We walked onto Barnstormer and Dumbo over and over with a perfect view of fireworks. I can't thank you enough! You are the MVP!
Yesss I’ve been waiting for this one! I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve had party tickets in my cart and decided against it. For $200+ I’m expecting p l e n t y of elbow room without having to wait an hour for a good view. Especially since that hour wait cuts in to your dessert time for the pre-party. I wish they would split the pre and post parties up between the two grass areas.
That’s why we did the after party but 2 of my 3 kids passed out before they could enjoy the food! I was disappointed. And they didn’t have the crepe Station when we were there I would’ve loved to try one!
I definitely enjoyed the post party better because you don’t have to rush and they add in some savory treats like spring rolls as well! You also get first dibs of spots in the hub grass area since you go there first
Here at WDW this week. Did this on a rainy Thursday night. Plus - was able to stay inside during the pouring rain… until it was almost fireworks time. Moved to the spot standing in rain about 15 min. Not a great viewing spot i agree with you 100% on food quality - rather dismal honestly. Good honest review Ashley! Keep being real. Love your channel!
We loved it, I wouldn’t do it every trip. It was once every few trips maybe. But we have never seen the projections up close before pier we usually watch back in fantasyland or storybook circus area. I guess we went on a less busy night because we didn’t get to the hub grass until 30 minutes before the show and there was tons of room around us. This was in December.
Love this honest review! I’m not a huge fan of paying a high price for unlimited food or drinks because then I try to “get my money’s worth” and overeat every time 🤢
I agree with everything you said! You still need to get there over an hour early and the spot wasn’t as good as the spots I get normally. It was stressful, knowing I had paid so much money and then worrying I wasn’t gonna get a good view. Everyone rushed to the front Which I didn’t know what happen. we ended up doing what you did and stood back a little bit and that was better. If someone doesn’t want to have to worry about where to stand for fireworks and is willing to splurge, I can see it working, but for our family, it doesn’t make sense either
I completely agree with your review of the party! It is nice to have the space and a guaranteed spot, but it is not something I would do every time I watched the fireworks. One thing we enjoyed (we went on a less busy day) was our son could run around and he was in a smaller contained area and we didn't have to be as worried about being in a large crowded area.
I would be so curious to see it on a non-sold out day since this was a peak holiday week. It's so nice when they can have room to play and get the wiggles out.
We have officially decided we are going next year with our friends who’s kids are the same age as my daughter so we are going right b4 they all turn 3 lol 😅 so it will be 4 under 3 I’m making them watch all ur videos starting now 😂
It bothers me so much when I wait for an hour+ to get a good view and then at the last minute someone puts their kid on their shoulders and I’m completely blocked. I’ve gone before kids and it was my vacation too. Just because I’m not a kid doesn’t mean I don’t get to see the fireworks. And even as a mom now I would never do that. Just hold your kids on your hip! Anyways, rant over lol.
I got post party tickets for a couple weeks from now for myself and my almost 3 year old… I’m wondering if you think the back of that section is best for her viewing or if it’s worth trying to fight for the front when everyone rushes up and crowds the front area? I want her to be able to see the projections. Thanks for the info!
We did the one a few years back with an actual table for the whole fireworks show so I'm assuming that's the "sweets and seats" version. ALSO a few years back they also had all the cheeseburger spring rolls with the desserts! So sad they weren't there!
@Ashley Wright | Pixie Dusted Mom haha I know right?! I loved that they offered something salty (other than the cheese). So sad they aren't there anymore!
We did the fireworks party last year and have to say it’s a one and done for us. Our view was slightly blocked by a tree or maybe it was a lamp post? Didn’t have as much room as we thought we were going to have. I may have also made the bad decision of leaving right when the show ended and was released into the crazy crowds. Maybe if we stayed in that area for a while and let the crowds die down it would have been less stressful. But we haven’t experienced the fireworks any other way as of yet. Next month we plan to ride dumbo and stay in that area with our toddlers to have space, maybe prioritize rides during…. Not sure as of yet. Also heard we can be right behind the castle for an okay view of the fireworks (obviously not the projections, but we are okay with that)
We did this once on a trip where we got engaged but i dont think we would do it again. We are also just teo adults so $200 i cant imagine a family of 4 or moee when you start pushing $400. I have been considering the private pontoon boat as an alrernative option.
I just don't get it. For that amount of price you'd think you would have a front viewing. That's so far back. I'd rather for free- just get to Main Street early and chill and then be up front than pay 100$ and be wayyy back behind.
This doesn't look worth it at all. My goodness. I paid for a dinner package for Fantasmic and I'm really hoping, for the price, it's a better few than this.
Yes, I've done the fantasmic dinner package and it's a much better bang for your buck situation. You'll be seated in the center stage section. Ps. rows a-g do get misted on/wet depending on the wind.
This was worth it for us when my two kids were free. Next trip my 2.5 year old will be over 3 and does not eat enough to justify the cost. My friend and I are looking into the Epcot pontoon boat instead since it isnt that much more than paying for a family of 4, and seats 11 people!
This was so super helpful. I really wanted to get it for our upcoming trip but it was sold out. This makes me feel better, like we’re not missing out as much as I thought. I think we’ll get ourselves a snack & camp out for a good spot for an hour or so before.
We went a year ago and did a dessert party. My two older kids passed out as soon as they got in the stroller so that is some thing to consider. If you are doing the after party I paid for two of my kids to sleep and not eat any of the desserts, however my youngest destroyed all the desserts I felt like they were pretty good. Honestly, they were the best desserts that we had in Disney World our whole trip which is pretty sad. We did try a lot we don’t drink alcohol so that part was pretty pointless. I was excited to try the Pog juice But ended up drinking milk more than anything else even though we were in the after party and we got to go to the hub grass earlier than a lot of other people by the time that we got there, it was still full! People must have been waiting for 2 hours which is insane! It was such a busy day though that if you didn’t have the dessert party there wasn’t even room to breathe outside of the hub grass it was insane!

That would be nice if they would split it up to give people even more room.

Heading to our first Disney trip soon, could you share some of your other favourite spots to watch the fireworks :)
Thanks for posting. We're headed there in two weeks and I've been on the fence for this

What?!? I really wanted the post party and now I really feel like I missed out with them having spring rolls at that one.

Hey! Watching w my 3 kids before bed :)
Thanks! You guys are the best!!

We have a DAS user that really doesn't do well with crowds. This is the only way we can see the fireworks without panic attacks and a lot of stress

What?! Spring Rolls at the dessert party? That would have made this review go very differently.
@Ashley Wright | Pixie Dusted Mom haha I know right?! I loved that they offered something salty (other than the cheese). So sad they aren't there anymore!
We find the dessert party to be worth the splurge on July 4th and NYE! 😆 Other than that, we don’t do them on a casual trip.

Where do you like to camp out with food/dinner/snacks for a good view?
Thanks for the info! How long are you able to eat during the party portion?

I have been considering the private pontoon boat as an alrernative option.
I don’t thinks worth the money the quality of the snacks made up my mind 😅
is it a dumb quesrion to ask of you can bring home some cupcake that you cant finish?
Not at all! I saw people taking plates of food to the hub grass to enjoy while they waited.
I'm very worried about having to grab spots a whole HOUR before the show starts. I don't know if the littles would be able to be patient enough
That’s why we turn it into our meal time, take turns taking them for a potty/diaper break and have some glow toys. It’s totally doable if you prepare.
Also divide & conquer if you're able to
🥮🍪🧀
Were your kids able to see the castle well without being held? That's my main concern. My kids are 8, 5, and 4 so they're still pretty short.
Honestly not great without being held. Could see better towards the back but the projections were tough to make out.
I just don't get it. For that amount of price you'd think you would have a front viewing.

What is a fantasmic package? Thanks!

Your comment on the unsweet tea had me cracking up 😂❤
Hahaha I’ve been around too many people who HATE unsweet tea. 😂
