A knock-on is when you drop it forward, not pass it.
@samantha George actually the forwards are the hard hitters and who get in the scrums and do most tackling and are the big guys and the backs are essentially the runners and smaller guys who get the ball down the pitch and are mainly the try scorers
wrong there matey the backs do a lot of tackaling and they do get invoild in rucks and most are 6"2 plus
Great informational video!, I can only think they're wearing jeans , kinda like to promote the game? so that people can feel this is something you can play casually at your local park maybe without really planing it or without so much equipment as you need for AMerican Football (great plus) maybe?

It's called a "knock-on" (This is the term used in Britain, Australia, and South Africa. If you want to argue about it, argue with them. Good luck.)
Guys (and gals?) when you pass the ball and it travels forward its called a forward pass. When a player receives the ball, either because it is passed to him/her OR received from a kick and the ball is dropped by the receiving player AND it travels forward THAT is called a knock on. In the same scenario but the ball travels back when dropped there is no foul and the game can continue.
