for the toxic gunner's total damage, here is an explanation, when it target an enemy, the toxic gunner seem to have a stored value of the enemy's hp to make sure the " strongest " targetting system work correctly, however it seem this hidden stored value was put as the total amount of damage instead for example, if you get a toxic gunner to target the void reaver, the toxic gunner's " total damage " will be the same number as the target's hp ( the void reaver's current hp in this situation )
For those who are wondering. The toxic gunner has gotten a fix which gave it a buff by letting the poison last the actual 5 seconds instead of one, making the tower much more reliable for slowdown and an overall better tower then it was prior.
If you want a complete slowing down that prevent the zombies to even move a single step, toxic gunner and sledger together makes the best event duos in this game.
For cowboy, i prefer the previous version of it, it had a really good boost like John before, and it's machine gun at max level was overpowered, but for the money i agree
Toxic Gunner at the bare minimum need to be able to slow down enemies by 30-40% for 8 seconds, and bosses should get slowed down for AT LEAST 15-20%. (It makes zero sense for a support tower to be invalidated just because one enemy is big)

As someone with toxic gunner, I feel that that some of the nerfs are justified, (slowing bosses, ect,) but I feel that it should still slow while enemies are out of it's range.

This happened to me once Before golden cowboy rework the golden cowboy were shooting the fallen boss and lagged the fallen boss to like 99% lower speed.
Gold mini actually had around 100 DPS so it was solid. Man… we may not have had a 1000 damage ranger, but we had an old pal who was so much better… you know him, you loved him; the outlaw. I miss it so much 😭
Me personally, i love to set my Toxic Gunner to Random whenever it has reached Lvl 2. Since you got the slowdown effect, it's also useful against hordes of enemies. I use this whenever im farming Atlas Colosseum on Molten, whenever i cannot do Violet Party strat

Yeah the executioner bug made it better than toxic gunner ever was. The dps of an entire map filled with accelerators in one spot at an extremely low cost is much better than just reducing the speed of every enemy by 50%
@mrehatt2582 toxic gunner was slowing down enemies permanently which was the bug. In addition it stacked. So that's why some bosses were getting crippled into oblivion. They fixed the stack and permanent effect and now it's how it was supposed to be
I know how to make Toxic Gunner good again! Once it hits an enemy it slows it down by 10% and with every 3rd shot it will slow it down by 5% until it reaches its cap which should be 40%-50%. The DPS should stay the same or lower to balance the slowness.

Percentages were also inaccurate back then, basically 50% means double when 100% is supposed to be double, so commander used to buff by like 2.2x, now its just 1.5x post-rework, which means ONE max toxic gunner made EVERY ENEMY essentially walk TWICE the track, kind of like the extra turn analogy elite said at the start
Old cowboy was insanely good. Yes it could only give 10 money but it could also give up to 500. Quite literally made polluted wasteland possible back then.
you're thinking about 2 different versions one before hardcore update and other one people after, the one after only gave around 10 - 75 but the old one usually gave 200-ish

Yeah there are several things that were overlooked because this was supposed to be a video about the toxic gunner and that was a good title to get people to watch. Outlaw commander bug was powerful, commander in general having the calculations wrong and giving over 2x firerate for several years, this also allowed gladiator to have 800 dps with its ability but I don't actually know if the animation played fast enough for that. Executioner had a bug that allowed you to solo hardcore.
One problem with the new cowboy - it can't defemd amything without the assistance of another tower, if you use another tower, it will waste most of it's income, if you don't, you will waste ridiculous money trying to make cowboy work

I think this is the reward for beating act 3. And for those of you who think it's the clown enemy from act two, if you compare the figures they are vastly different in appearance. The amount of military jeep bugs out the game and litteraly slows down enemies, slower than toxic gunner. You could solo hardcore with it or you could litterly go to wave 40 in fallen without placing any other tower! Sadly this got fixed btw

Toxic gunner is still broken, it's supposed to make enemies 10% slower each shot till 50%. Now it only slows down for 10% and no stacking.

Back in the day, we used toxic gunner to slow down void reaver fo make it stuck, but after below nerf it it was basically the useless, me and my friends never used it for 2 years now, its just in our inventory sitting there waiting to get equip poor toxic gunner

Toxic gunner was not the most op tower. Anyone remember the military base bug in 2021?
When you spam enough military base as fast as you can. The amount of military jeep bugs out the game and litteraly slows down enemies, slower than toxic gunner. You could solo hardcore with it or you could litterly go to wave 40 in fallen without placing any other tower! Sadly this got fixed btw

It's about the toxic gunner being really strong back then, nothing to do with how accel used to be
slowing down enemies by 50% decreases their speed by 50%, so you are actually getting twice the map length not 1.5x the map length
