>Starts as Denmark
>Kalmar Union succeeds
>Aragon militarily forms Spain
>Castille survives in Tangiers and Uruguay, along with a colonial subject in Brazil
>Spain has holdings in Albania and Greece
>Brittany survives and colonizes parts of Cuba
>Tunis colonizes Florida
reality.exe has crashed
jacob hirschfeld also papal Mexico happens
lol yeah most of those are pretty nuts. Kalmar union succeeding isn't that far fetched though. It wasn't some patriotic Swedish movement that ended it. It was a massacre of Swedish nobles, and the Swedish elite and nobles that wanted independence because of that, as well as their different interests in the east. The people probably didn't give a shit. At that point they all spoke basically the same language anyways. So if the Danish kings treated the Swedish nobles better, and maybe gave them some concessions, it could totally have worked out and unified the Nordics under one nation. There would probably also be a common Scandinavian language and cultural identity.
thats what we call to alternative dimension
I laughed a little when you showed that you were the HREmperor.
its not rly hard as france... jsut get diplo ideas full and boom you have 3-5 electors on your side, without conquer vassalize them
Guess it's not holy, but it's Roman.
+Username Pending 1/3 is good enough I guess
Constantine XI 2/3, it's also an empire.
its not an empire. its a principality
waitwaitwait.... PAPAL Mexico????
Those poor natives probably got slaughtered...
As always
*****
Story of History`s life.
*****
All sold to the important in theocracy...
S-sir the pope send a card about or efforts in the new world it says (BRING ME MORE INDIAN BOYS) And so the papal mexico was conceived
USA:Hey Look, The Romans are here, Bye. *Runs into Canada*
They found oil up that way
Roman Louisiana, seems legit.
It's EU4, I've seen burgundy take over the entirety of northern France and NOT get a single outraged nation.
While playing as a custom nation, I was in a war with Naples until i met a
8.123 million army
i quickly unconditionally surrendered
EZIC Name ummm, I'm quite sure the game doesn't allow that with all the force limits and attrition and so on. Are there other nations that happened to have sent the ire entire force limit to the same area?
Sgt Frost
nope, only naples
I've been in a game were in 1492 Muscovy was in a Three front war by him self, and won, then I saw that the African nation Kongo have a colonial power in Cuba.
Baguette strikes again
Shruk Pls that I did
Baguette Yes you did
Pretty sure this is just the average France AI game when I'm playing outside of Europe except with a fancier colour.
Yea not even interesting
look at that blobhemia and teutonic blobder early on
Sweden (I guess) just went crazy and formed Scandinavia, ate Muscovy and expanded east.
I hate gay teutons.
if i had at least 1/10 of the ability you have....
Ikr
to be honest, its more fun that way¡¡
he must have used cheats. In 400 years it's no possible doing what he's done in this video in iron mode.
Watch Shenryyr2's Byzantium playthrough, it's possible
do you guys even ryukyu
Dutch USA and Scottish Canada...that's not going to last too long
Yep XD, also love your name and picture
SOCIALISM STRONK!!!!!! SCROO YUO
lol socialism is for spineless schmucks
Socialism works only if it's democratic.
Polandball and mapping Slovenia Ummmm no.
this is funny because france actually held the rights to the throne and crown of the roman empire, since it was sold to the french king in 1496 if im not mistaken, by Andreas Palaiologos, successor of Konstantinos palaiologos last eastern emperor, he kinda used these titles to claim parts of italy btw
Yey History! :)
Conselheiro But wasn't the Roman Empire demised by 1496?
I'm a history geek and I didn't know that! XD France is TOTALLY the best successor, totally.
R.I.P. Byzantine empire.
Didn't the last emperor's daughter married the moscovite king Ivan and he declared Moscow as the third Rome? Making their kings Tsars? Who sold the crown, it was claimed by Mehmed right after tha fall of Constantinople, but the next sultans didn't bother with this title again.
Aww cute little Estonia managed to become independent and survive.
The cutesttt !!!
... lol, so you are holy, Roman , and an Emperor .. neat :D
The Papal State was colonising...
Just like in reality.
That moment when the gauls unite Rome... Caesar would be rolling in his grave
this is honestly one of my favorite EU4 videos! playing as France (my favorite country to watch eu4 videos of) and then to play as Rome (also another favorite) was very cool
I formed the Roman Empire as Milan in 1740. Rome once again had a republic.
man, that burgundy inheritance fired quick
Now reform the Roman Empire as the pope
you can't
the decisioun requires you not to be the poope
aww
the poope hahaha
if you are hre emperor or hre or the papal state u can't form the roman empire
Fasoli Romanesti If you play as The papal States, form Arabia, then Form the Roman Empire it's possible to have a Roman Empire with the Papacy government
France actually holds the rights to the throne and crown of the Roman/Byzantine empire, since it was sold to the French king in 1496 by Andreas Palaiologos, successor of Konstantinos palaiologos last Byzantine emperor.
At least I did better than you at forming Rome, I formed Rome as Italy which was formed by Austria and I got a PU over Hungary and England early on so that helped and late game when I formed Rome, my ally Russia also fell under a PU. This was my luckiest and only lucky EU4 game.
Also took over the New World but everything else you're better at I'm guessing
***** Hey I did my Rome game awhile back when Mare Nostrum just came out but I still remember, first Austria gets a really good chance to get Hungary under a PU (I didn't get Bohemia and no I didn't form HRE) England was probably my luckiest since I allied the, to help take down France but their King died and I got them defending against my ally Castile (we later reallied but I back stabbed them for declaring war on me for England.) Then when I was already close to forming Rome I'm pretty sure I allied Russia since I didn't need or want any of their land and we were allied for a long time and they eventually fell under PU. No stragety really except for Royal marriage.
AlteregoFool i did it as naples
+Jari first he was austria who gets special events. That combined with influence ideas and the world's yours
Man, I nedd to say, you really know how to make a EU4 gameplay. Not only showed all the provinces, but also the tags in the admin table, and North America... Very nice gameplay, I want to do this on day, with the old and good Byzantines!
Is there an descision to make the Roman Empire?
Yup :)
All christian or pagan nations, must own Roma to show up
I did it as ottoderp by becoming orthodox
I think you need mare nostrum
Andrew Curcillo nah you dont
6:59 Papal Mexico, OK...
This inspired me so much! I tried becoming the HRE as France and after a long struggle and kissing up to the Emperors i finally did it in the 1520's. I joined the HRE but have no idea where to go from here. I think i'm gonna conquer the Western Roman Empires former holdings.
In the last patch I Had the pragmatic sanction happen immediately then I win the election in 1450 and then I got the Uber Burgundian inheritance inheriting both French and HRE lands
Big Blue Blob intensifies
Considering that the would-be heir to the Eastern Roman throne sold his rights to France, this isn't too far off.
I love the music for these timelapse videos.
I wish I had as much skill as you, keep up the videos they're brilliant.
the roman empire is a principality xD
I just noticed that. what the hell. did they not change government at all
+Wyatt Farmer Theres an achievement to get 1000 dev. while being a duchy
Well I think at the end of the game you have a lot more than 1000 dev so he couldve upgraded his goverment rank after he got the achievement
He was emperor of the HRE which auto-downgraded him into a duchy
emperror can be a kingdom if he's an elector and becoming emperror doesn't auto downgrade you to duchy. Tbh I have no idea how he managed to downgrade to duchy as a france who starts as kingdom.
never doubt the colonialism of the pope.
damn, good job man! At 2:35 you made a little mistake though, you've already written that text that comes up but hell, who doesn't make mistakes? :P
Ha yeah, my editing software crashed a couple of times while editing video so It must have slipped through when I reloaded the files. I put up a annotion to sort of "fix" it but I'm going to have to be a bit more careful in the future.
But anyways thanks so much for the kind words dude! :)
Aha, I see :P Well, keep up the good work, I think this series is amazing :D
Great video!
Wow, your videos are really cool! Please, make more! I especially like the Dutch Colonial Empire.
I have played 3 games of EU4 so far, none of wich with a European nation, how do you force someone into a personal union?
This guide is pretty long and indepth, but it does cover pretty much everything that has to do with PUs forum.paradoxplaza.com/forum/index.php?threads/guide-to-royal-marriages-personal-unions-and-claim-throne.788829/
U have 2 be Christian
Not necessarily, just the same religion.
+AurOn2401 no sunni's nations are not allowed same with eastern
It used to be that way, then paradox nerfed the pu and made it christians only.
This is the biggest and blobiest blue blob that I've seen blob.
That's honestly amazing.
You're amazing.
im jelly
"Le Sénat et le peuple de Rome
"
can't believe romans will sound that sexy in their new French Roman Empire
Je suis le Sénat
Hey dude, just want say I'm a big fan of EU 4 and I'm a fan of Arumba and Shenryyr and I have to say I really love your videos! I've never seen this type of footage before and I really enjoyed it! :) I would love to see a let's play too but nevertheless great work man and keep up the hard work! can't wait to see the next vid you bring out :)
Making gameplay videos honestly sounds like a lot of fun! I'm actually planning to buy myself a decent microphone once I get my paycheck this month so it may just happen.
But thank you so much for the kind words man! You have no idea how happy I am seeing that there are people out there actually enjoying my videos :)
I'm glad to hear that dude :) honestly just keep up the hard work you're doing great! Also have you thought about possibly doing a mulitplayer lets play in the future?
Once I finally get my fiber connection installed absolutely! My current internet can barely handle a skype conversation :P
+Dovska ah awesome dude well if you ever need a player to have a game with I could give it a shot :)
This is an ambitious little UA-cam channel I am going to give you that
This is a dream that I wish would come true.
Good job man,I really enjoy these series!
How do you deals with core creation, by looking to your expansion you really used vast amount of adm points. Or did I miss something in this game??
I think he got really lucky with his rulers being like 5/4/4 for admin/diplo/military. Along with hiring all 3 possible advisors with max 3 pts. Imperialist Casius Bell arrives late in the game for the player and if you succeed in taking the enemy capital core creation costs revert to anywhere from 10-32 admin pts instead of 80+ per core. Explains how he expanded east so fast and effectively. Unfortunately when i play I get terrible rulers with like 1/3/2 points bonus or like 2/1/1. And they seem to live forever to. :(
SJSharks7 when I play my rulers are amazing and then die at age 19 so I'm stuck with a 0 0 1 heir and a regency council for 15 years
He probably picked admin ideas which gives you -25 precent core creation cost
@@EE-dj7et hahahahah I stopped playing for 2 years and recently get back to the game (talk about timing). Didn't even remember about this comment.
How do you handle aggresive expension? That is the only thing that prevents me of forming rome in time. I am at 1629 as france now and i got 80 percent of iberia, 100% ireland and 60% of england, also savoy. But the commonwealth blob became the emperor so it prevents me of dismantling other big nations in hre such as austria. Should I restart?
+Dovska Vienna was part of the Roman Empire along with Sopron Buda and Pest.
Great video! Did you use any cheats or mods for this campaign?
Thanks :) Nope it was Ironman with some small graphic mods on
you need the historical timeline by buying mare nostrum
No, the timelines shows the outline of the countries in yhe present while replaying the past. So that border through Hungary to Utrecht was the Roman border of 1820.
Wait, then how did the HRE have over 90 Imperial authority?
How far behind in dip and adm techs/ideas were you? All those cores and peace treaties must've cost a ton.
This series is AMAZING
This is amazing.
You deserve a ton more subscribers.
Did you have a mod for the flags or is that just how they look when you're the Roman Empire?
I'm doing this right now. 1490 and just occupied Cairo. Europe is just a massive alliance between the HRE, Austria and Aragon (which has a PU over Castile). I technically do have more numbers than them (75,000 vs 67,000), but I doubt I could win a war. Plus my economy is shit since I have to support all those troops.
I am at a point where I think I will restart, it's 1685 I got a PU over Castille and fully integrated them, and since I started trying to go for the big blue blob I took over Ireland, Scotland, and half of England as well as Norway, and Russia, I took over a small portion of the Mahgreb region and I'm starting to crawl up from south Italy, however at this point the Ottomans are not contested in the west since Persia didn't form, and Austria hates my gusts, so I have no Allies to fight them, I see that in your video the Ottos where of similar size to what they are in my current game, how can I deal with them?
I'd think that you need administrative ideas for reduced coring cost, how did you manage to core all of those provinces and did not go behind in admin tech?
The Big Blue Blob Strikes Back
so close to form the roman empire as france
... but the problem is I had a habsburg dynasty and they are not worthy for roman empire, how can i remove the habsburg dynasty?
Just go revolutionary man, that way you will both remove the heads of your Habsburgs and get a cool flag, you may even manage to get Napoleon as the Emperor. :)
+Dovska lol imagine a revolutionary roman empire
Well that's approximatively what Napoleonic France was....
what is the version of the game and is that STEAM or clasic version?
great timelapse good job
can i form denmark as a protestant? or as denmark?
oh sorry i mean can i form roman empire as a protestant?
Yes you can! As long as you are christian or pagan you can form Rome.
+Dovska what map nod do you use
I use ASMBM Original and A Rev. Font Mod - Dark :)
what mod adds the history timeline thing?
What mods are you using. In the vanilla game you can't have 10 vassals and 6/7 dip. relations?
You can if you are the Holy Roman Emperor
Thank you so much dude ill be making maps all the time now :D
Hey, judging from your videos you certainly have quite the ability in this game. When your conquering, how are you taking so much land? Do you just ignore overextension and AE? I'm doing a Byzantium game and after watching this, I feel l should be taking more than 2 provinces per wars
there a plenty of ideas who reduce Province War Costs, reduce AE, and so on, and in the late game its rly easy due to high admin tech to conquer more and more land, and you must be new to the game... i take mostly 3-6 provinces if i can aslong the coalition against me isnt very big :]
+Felix Mustermann I'm not really new, I have 250+ hours in the game. I usually just took land up until a coalition did form, as I just assumed coalitions would be difficult to manage. I assume I should take much more land then I do currently?
TheDropIG you can hover over your AE in the peace deal to see who could form a coalition ^^
I usually take a lot more than just two provinces from my enemy.
Well done for your videos man!
Watching this instead of paying attention in history.
Teacher talks about 6 coalitions against France as coalitions are formed in game.
030
congratulations bro, you did it very well. semper victoria!
How do you force a personal union on someone (like you did with England and Bohemia) , is it just luck, or is there some kind of strategy to it ?
Terros royal marry them, hope they dont get a heir, fight succession war
guy that plays roblox So it's luck then, something like that can really make or break your game.
If you and a country have the same dynasty, they have no heir or one with a weak claim, and you have more prestige, you can claim their throne. Once this is done, you can use the casus belli "claim on throne" to force them into a union.
Tom L. ok, I'm having a hard time spreading my dynasty though. I'm marrying a lot, but during the course of my last game only managed to spread to one other nation (which I PU'd shortly after)
Any tricks that make it more likely that your dynasty spreads ?
Terros Certain countries have events that directly effect dynasties, with an obvious one being Poland and the Jagiellons of Lithuania. Austria has events with Hungary and Bohemia roughly mid-game, which help build the Groß Osterreich.
There is also a non-specific dynasty-changing event where if you maintain 4 royal marriages for a long enough time, the next time one of your royal marriage partners has no heir, your dynasty may be put as next in line for that country.
However, when it comes to just normal gameplay, maintaining high prestige, and having a powerful country should boost your chances of spreading your dynasty.
A very useful tip is to keep track of the "Disputed succession" tab, which is a green banner with the silhouette wearing a crown. These countries are currently lacking an heir, and if you can secure a royal marriage with any of these countries, you may either simply get your dynasty put on their throne, or you may be pulled into a succession war. To see which of these outcomes may occur, go to the country with no heir, and hover your mouse over the ruler's name.
If it does say succession war, the country on the left is the one that will get the union, and the one on the right is the country that will be asked if they contest the union. If you happen to be getting the union, but the contestant is an extremely powerful nation, or one that is bigger than yours, you may want to simply break off the royal marriage, to save yourself from a really bad war.
There may be other ways to spread your dynasty, but those are the methods that i'm aware of. Good luck.
Edit: If what I said didn't really make sense, you can check out these two sections to have a bit of reading of your own:

What map/mods do you use? I like the bright glossy look you got in these videos
How do you make the map at the video's start?
Wow epic!! I cannot deal with mass rebels under such insane expansion...
hi! which software did you use to make the video? ^-^ (great job!)
can you not form rome in eu4 1.15? I played as byzntium and got all the required land but the option never came up.
Super Saiyan God u prob were looking at the basilieus achievement not restore Roman empire
My early rapid expansion made me a target of a coalition that forced me to release Champagne and Burgandy
>Papal Mexico
>wellthatsnew.jpg
long time ago when i conquered Rome as Catholic Papal always ask for Rome, is it still the same? i watched you take Rome and still ok.
How do you make the map at the start of the video ?
What do you have to culture switch to to be able to form the roman empire??
In time lapses, Do changes in color mean annexation or just occupation?
+Grubby The Orc annexation
How do you deal with the rebels is my question and how the fck you can handle multiple ways with large countries
Question.. I'm new and so if I declare war on someone and and my ally joins it, in the peace deal can I take the land that my ally conquered from the enemy
How did you open that history viewer bar so you could watch your game back?
It's feature from the Mare Nostrom DLC.
Nice vid!!
What UI mod do you use? It looks so much nicer! :)
@Dovska
Can you form the roman empire even when you have a pu with a country like france?
Did you use any particular program to create those maps at the start and end?
Yup! I used Paint.net. here is a tutorial that I made showing how I went about doing it :)
ua-cam.com/video/0QFSpztmYcs/v-deo.html
I use Paint.net too! *Shameless self advertising* Just check my channel...
I am playing as France right now, and I managed to vassalize byzantium before they were conquered, and return their cores. Genoa had expanded into Crimea, and lost land so I vassalize them and returned their cores. I also got a pu over Hungary very early on, but didn't get the Burgundian succession crisis event
I allied Poland, Austria, a super powerful Castille, and now a strong North African tlemcen, and I've taken much of the new world
Mighty fine job there mate
What mod did you use to get the Roman Empire Borders to show up?
No mod, it is just the way the game looks when one enters timeline mode because the timeline mode does not overwrite the outer borders.
Ohhhhh, thank you very much!
How did you force the union with England? Nice video.
How you get the red lines into the gamemap?
How did you deal with occupying Rome? I am kinda noob at this game, but I got massive penalties as Austria when I occupied Rome to keep Italy in the hre.
If you are a christian nation you get a malus for occupying Rome except if you are The Papal States, Italy or the Roman Empire.
In your game you should put rome in the hre and then make the pope a vassal and release him to avoid any malus
+Megarrrforce Actually I believe you only get penalties if you occupy it and you are a Catholic nation.
Swag Mastah you are right.
my mistake
Megarrrforce Its all good
Seems proper to use France to recreate Rome when Charlemagne came close to reforming it himself. Are there any other states you can use to recreate Rome? I'm using the Extended Timeline mod so I'm still waiting to see it collapse while I wait for the time that I can actually create Great Britain.
You can use any Christian nation and I think any Pagan nation to form Rome.
how did you Force England into a pu i mean he should be rivaling you pretty much as long as he isnt a one state minor
As france its almost impossible feat! Gratz
Question how did you get the Histroy Timeline? Was it from the history tab?
Its next to the button that speeds, slows and pauses time.
Thank you.
I assume it comes with a dlc because I don't have the option to.
what graphic mods do you use?
How do you find the history timeline? How do you get it
Looks like you took Big Blue Blob to heart.
How did you get a up over England I thought that was only a mission for England itself?
Not an up a pu
P.S great job ... If only I had 1/1000000000 of your skill;)
wait, so how did you get yourself into empire? I thought only
I vassalized a majority of the electors and then when I fully annexed Austria I was elected Emperor.
After that I just added my capital to the empire
I am still bewildered as to how the hell you're duchy level
How did you not get nuked by ae in the HRE or by Persia in the east?
also, did zazzau take over western africa in your game? wtf?
Why didn't you choose admin ideas?
Perfect This is Epic!
