Have u tried vintage gold round frames?
I broke my glasses on the bridge and on the top of the lens since I mostly owned acetate glasses. The plastic would always break somewhere near the nose or above the eye.

Love all your glasses they are very interesting! Have you ever had glasses that were the wrong prescription? Being too weak in strength etc? Just dealt with that and working at getting my glasses fixed now

Janae, thank you for your video and your honesty. I wear -12 in both eyes, eyeglasses, and have greatly struggled with thick lenses all my life. I do say they are making better glasses as u mentioned with technology. I paid around $800 for my last ones, and just wondered what you pay for yours. I am now 63, and do not wear contacts anymore. You are beautiful, with or without glasses, i like your last pair too, they look nice! Thanks!

Do you get your glasses thinned out?
When I was little I would break atleast 3 pairs a year by playing around and not putting them In there case just tossing them in my backpack when I decided I didn't want to wear them (very dumb i can't even see the board in the front row without them no joke)usually the part of mind that would break is the arm would break of to no repair or i would literally break the nose bridge in half but my lenses never popped out
That's good. The problem with me is that I used to wear wire frames, and a lens popped out. It was very scary.
My lenses would pop out with my oval shaped glasses or the ear part would break as well.
Are they very thick because you cant see near or you cant see far?
Are those high index?
If you are wondering about my perscription though mine is only -3 but I have very horrible vision because of -3 and I also have very strong astigmatism that I have always have had since I got glasses at 6

My lenses used to pop out all the time. I totally feel your pain. We were forever having to pop them back in. At one point we even did superglue with one pair.
Hey Janae, I've struggled my whole life with kind of the opposite side of what you minuses folks struggle with, I have a +19.5 meaning I have the bug-eye thing. I'm in my 40s now, and I had a HORRIBLE time at school with these. I struggle not so much with the actual thickness, but the way they make my eyes look. I kind of feel like, although your glasses may look thick on the edge, they dont look odd on your eyes because they just look a little smaller, I'd personally far prefer that to my own look. my optician always chooses smaller round frames for me, because it's the only way to reduce or minimize the thickness of the lens in the centre. I used to wear hard contacts, sometimes I consider going back to them, but they're not easy to wear for a long time. also I felt perhaps I was hiding who I was. I think all the glasses you showed suited you in different ways. all the best

What type of lenses does your eyeglasses have? Is it multifocal or progressive? And is it high index?

@@jamierayevalmores3109 They are called myodiscs, when a prescription gets above -12 they have to make the prescription part in a circle inside of a "dummy" lens so that the lenses aren't so thick. She probably has tunnel vision and very poor peripheral vision with those glasses.

I want some white ones to they are very nice. The round ones are sooo ugly. I broke glasses in various ways also broken arms, also smashed lens (here in my country we have glass lenses for high dioptres :-( ) but most commen is poped lens

Having bad vision is expensive. Glasses don't seem to be built to last more than a year. I had a really nice purple pair and I only wore them for 6 months. The paint started to chip and a screw fell out. I had a really nice beige pair of plastic frames and after 3 months the coating started to peel off.

Just want to say that your new glasses look very good on you. You are smart to wear glasses first thing in the morning and for a while before bedtime because you don't ever want to damage your corneas by wearing contacts too much. I hate to see that your prescription is still increasing, and hopefully it will stop soon. It would be terrible for you to not be able to wear contacts, because unfortunately your glasses are unusual looking and I suspect you get a lot of people staring at you when you are wearing them. They probably do not even realize they are staring, and it is likely just out of curiosity, but of course it makes you feel uncomfortable.

myopia 100% will get worse depending on your work and lifestyle
staying longer in indoors and and your work focus to much to PC it will get worse
they advised to go outdoors frequently it slow down myopia
It depends actually i have genetic myopia and my doctors told me it stops increasing after 18-20 years old. All of this because our body doesn't "develop" anymore so it stabilizes.

I've been wearing glasses since I was 15 and I rarely ever broke a pair.
Your new glasses suit you very well but I wonder why you're not getting any AR coating. The reflexions on the glasses, especially on the bi-concave ones, don't look very good and emphasize the thickness and the rather extreme rx.
