    Love your research. You are performing experiments that offer insight and food for thought which helps a lot of people. Thank you and keep up the good work. One question though. What would your next step be if you discovered a motor that took off and accelerated?

    Hi just came across your video . My idea to correct the pile up of magnet forces is to take the set up you have and set say 3 or more on a long bar with bearings on each end. This several individual wheels allows each to act independently of each others magnetic fields. Respectively Ray from Raymondslab

      Hi Ray, thanks for stopping by and providing the input. I enjoy your channel and did this video partly to send more viewers your way, but also because I really enjoyed what you were doing with that setup. Keep doing great things!

    taper your steel bigger on outer end that one curve it will allow close proximity to next gate w/o interference plus and upward taper will change effect again great job thanks

    I LOVE these kinds of "magnet motor" presentations for their consistency . . . NONE of them work!

    Привет! Хороший эксперимент. Я смотрел некоторые видео Reymond lab и нигде не разглядел потенциал для того, чтобы можно было построить рабочий МД. Спасибо за подтверждение предположений.

    More gates with shielding between them so they can be closer might be worth a try.

    I have been amazed at your experiments but have seen you have not put something on youtube in a bit of time. Could you be so kind and change that ?? So all of us on the channel can See Great Things come at us. Thanks a bunch and peace too. Good day.

    Hey Motionmagnetics. Check out ZPMM on UA-cam. It appears they too are using a form of right angle magnetics. Just wish there were English subtitles. Keep up the good work!

      Yes, I've seen videos of that design. They are using a similar method of angling the magnetic fields through metal. Thanks!

    What if you put the gates on the stator instead of the rotors?

  • @timwilliams4688
    @timwilliams4688 5 років тому

    do you think the friction in the center point plays a role in slowing down the whole system, losing the propulsion that the magnets are generating? maybe if you were to use greased ball bearings or something with less friction it would work better?

  • @tnunn3023
    @tnunn3023 6 років тому

    Maybe linear to highspeed...unpowered curve then linear again...(oval track). Personally i like idea of 2 strong spiral gates with added striking devices for kinetic energy rebound thru gates. 2 billiard balls smacking each other thru the gate repeatedly...each wheel takes a turn goin arnd.. Your video is thought provoking, tho. Thanks

    You should use shielding metal to lower the resistance of approching magnets. ;)

    interesting. what happens if you combine a vertical L gate with a horizontal(as shown) ? in other words if each side consists of 2 L's @ 90 degrees, one vertical & one horizontal, 4 sets of magnets & 2 opposite L's per side......obviously they wouldn't fit together nicely as is.....but you could use rods instead with a perhaps just a flat section for the magnets mount, instead of bars.

    • @Motionmagnetics
      @Motionmagnetics  6 років тому

      Most likely it would create a stronger area of repulsion that the rotor would need to get through, which might negate any potential gain.

    Love your stuff but let me give you something to ponder. Gyroscope... the same physics that drive them is fighting the gate. This is why it works linearly but not rotationally. It pushes across not through.

    I have a question about this setup. What would happen if you used a halbach array to increase the magnetic field in either the moving magnet or the steel plate assembly? I would love to see someone experiment with that. Sadly I don't have the resources to get magnets currently otherwise I would totally do it myself.

    • @Motionmagnetics

      My guess is that it would cog, but you might want to give it a try? You never know.

    hey Motionmagnetics, as you see the technic is based on that triangle-ish shaped steel plating, I recommend you and Ramond use arcs, of neodymium, it will be much smoother and faster.
    good structured video as always, however I don't understand why you are using new other technics, other than, applicating the good old HoJo technics, you are so long busy with liniar things, get to the rotor with the assymetrical distances and the gate, the pmmg4hybrid liniar motor, but make it rotory, I know you can do it!
    kind regards
    Benjamin Moszkowicz

    • @Motionmagnetics
      @Motionmagnetics  6 років тому

      I learned from Howard Johnson that the best way to start is to work out most of your problems with a linear version of a magnetic motor before attempting to build a rotary version. The pmmg4hybrid version of Johnson's gate won't work in a rotary version. The repulsion at the entrance to the track negates any possible gain. So a rotary version simply stops past each gate. I'll work it out eventually though. Thanks!

      Motionmagnetics though a round train track circuit would make it possible as you can assign the magnets to the places where the track is straight, maybe something to think about?

    • @Motionmagnetics
      @Motionmagnetics  6 років тому +1

      I've thought about that. I've even considered designing the gates along a flat train track and attempting to build up enough motive force to go around an area of round track that would lead right back into another series of flat track gates.
