Ed Hall was a practitioner of internal cleansing ! this involved swallowing a gauze bandage inch by inch and and then retrieving it slowly, this was repeated two or three times ! A great clarinettist.
One of the best trombonists ever. I have them in my Heart so: 1) Teagarden 2) Dickenson 3) Ory 4) Tommy Dorsey 5) Mc Garity 6) Fontana 7) Brunies 8) Johnson
Great "Blues" work but not enough of Vic on trombone imo.I just now caught the meaning of the title "Suspension Blues", i.e., the ending leaves you in "suspense."
Edm, Vic, sir Charles and the other great performers, what an septet and fine sound, douze points !
Vic Dickerson was always a great interpreter and excellent trombonist! The other members of the group were also excellent!
Doesn't get any better than this!!
Jazz giants forever
Great music. Vic and Ed two of my favourite musicians.
Thanks
