How do you get to the relays BEHIND the main relays?
Relay 53 is for the horn. If you have 2, the second one is for the fog lights.

Great vid. Before I go pulling the under dash apart. I have a 2004 V8 AllRoad. Left side bi xenon low beam comes on for basically 1 second, then goes out. I have changed the globe, to no avail. All other headlights, parking lights and fog lights work perfectly. Is not a loose connection either. Any ideas?
maybe something with the ballast....not sure if the ballast is built into the globe or not on that car

Nr 53 is the horn relay and if you have fog lights, there will be another one. Do you know which realys are for the aircon and the wayer jets for the front lights?

Hi Car Guy, just got a 2004 Allroad 4.2 and the blower fun does not work. There is power to the climate control. Do you have any tips for me before i would start to take everything apart ? Thanks
I would test the motor itself by hooking it up directly to 12V, but another way to test is "To test the motor, put the ACC controls in a position where it should be blowing. Measure voltage between the two wires that attach to the blower motor: if there is voltage (i.e. ~5 - 12V) there and the fan isn't blowing, it's dead." -dorsal900, Audiworld...... If the motor works it could be the resistor that's bad.

hey i was installing a after market radio and it arked!and since then i haven't been able to use my ac heater control module nore does my rear window curtain work anymore. do you know if any of those relays could cause this issue!???
probably just blew a fuse, check the radio fuse on the side of the dash. best to disconnect the battery or pull the fuse when installing a new radio
a DIY Car Guy interesting thing is the radio works but the the heater control and the window curtain does not. I thought it could be a relay after I checked my fuses and they were good!
Thanks for telling us about all of Audis "random" relays. To other viewers ... check a manual for what each relay does ... they all have specific uses, not random.

ac fan fuse or relay? ac fan isn't working under the hood. not my blower motor it works great. the fan that's next to my manual fan on my radiator. makes sense?

The coolant gets hotters when the car runs on idle especially on a hot day, the electric fan just not kicks in...

If it’s a 3800 engine it’s probably the elbows in your water pump went bad, notorious problem for those cars, other than that and the head gasket 3800 is really good

I believe there is a fuse for it, most cars have a ecm fuse. Look in the fuse box in the engine bay and on the side of the dash. Could be in either of those.

Could a bad fuel pump relay cause fuel pump fuse too keep keep going out?
I don't think so, I think the fuel filter or the strainer on the pump might be clogged and causing the pump to work too hard and draw too much current. Worst case is that the pump itself is faulty and drawing too much current or there is a short somewhere in the wiring.

Excellent, did this on my '02 A6. Not sure why sometimes before removing relays it is recommended to disconnect the battery. Didn't do that and seems fine.
in case anything shorts out, it does happen, but I would say people are lucky more often then not and nothing shorts out
a DIY Car Guy Actually have to confess my ABS light came on. Need to check relays and fuses this time with no battery connection
does anyone know if 1 of this relays is bad, can that cause the fuses not to work? i have a tt and the fuses look good ,even though the light tester wont light up when i test them, but when i visually check them they are good. not blown , no lose , nothing. can one of this relays be the issue , or can this be cause that the fuses dont get any current? any ideas?? anybody??
if it lits when you touch one side and it not in the other...don´t trust your eyes, if don´t lit any end... check the relay in the circuit...if it doesn´t pass through the voltage, it doesn´t lit anyhow! Always check relays with a load in the switching circuit...prety tricky these bastards!!

hello, i have a 1.8t AEB and fuse 28 blows and engine wont start, but when i unplug the throttlebody connector it starts rough and runs 10 sec..

no. but changed the fuel pump and still driving the wreck :P if you take out fuelpump fuse 28# and unplug the throttle body el-connector on my 1.8t it FAKKING starts every time... man, VAG dont need no fuel pump that shit is overrated :P

a DIY Car Guy do you know if the ccm could be causing my hazzards to go off for 2-5 minutes when I start my car? Also climate control isn't working too well.. very strange

you would need to acquire all the quattro parts....drive shaft, transmission, rear differential, possibly rear suspension, computer, wiring, and probably more. it's probably cheaper to just buy one that's already quattro

I replaced the (ccm) comfort and convenience module blah blah,, under the carpet, and, don't have a blown #14 fuse. I hoping its the 382 relay, but cant find it.. I hope someone answered your question. This problem is driving me crazy...

There is NO such thing as a "random relay" there certainly isnt a relay on any car where "no-one knows what it is". If you dont know, leave it to the pros. Half of these videos should be taken down for the sake of eliminating misinformation.

hi i have a 2000 a6 2.7 and the other day i used my key to let the windows down and now they don't want to go back up :( also my sunroof and interior light don't work ... i changed out all the fuses and also reset my battery and nothing i really need help ...could it be my relay if so witch one and where please help i live in Texas and this heat is soooo horrible
