Indeeeed.. EK, and NCB have been my top two sources for the high end cutlery lately! Probably spent around 70-80K between the 2 retailers in the last year!😅😂😂
I'm actually local to Eknives and they're great! Got a chance to talk to the owner Clayton and snagged a non-flipper Eklipse. They also carry a lot of RMJ Tactical stuff which is also local to Chattanooga
I have that Griptillian!!! I changed out the Scales to a Blue topo Ti!! Love this knife and the Ti scales make it solid!! Heavy, but the solid feel makes the extra weight worth it!
I gifted my best friend a Benchmade 556 (MiniGrip, satin, thumbstud, no serrations) because I really think it's the best edc (to my tastes). I actually LOVE the molded handles & don't plan to ever swap them. They named it GRIPtilian for a reason. Although, for people with lock restrictions, you scrolled right past the Benchmade 319 Proper :(
I was scouring the internet for a Spartan Harsey Watch Works and I finally found one at Ridge Runner Blades. Hopefully they do me right. It's scary buying from new places on the internet.
I just got the my first Griptilian, the Sheepsfoot 550-1, and I can't believe I held out on this knife. The quality and build of it makes anything I've bought from Golden Colorado lately a joke. Just as the Mini Adamas and Super Freek did. I love this knife. And I don't know what everyone's problem with the Axial Shift is, but I love that freaking knife. It's just as good and the build quality is fantastic. The simple design and pocket clip are my cup of tea. It deploys effortlessly and fires hard everytime. I would like to get a Guardian though. Ive handled one and liked it. Never tried a Heretic Manticore either but I've heard great things. People who are brand bias or whatever there problems are, are missing out on some great knives. Microtech is not the end all be all. Not anymore. They are still great knives as well. I've sold all mine though. I like that you can actually take apart the Axial. I run it dry and have worked with it in dirt, rain, saw dust, and Ive never had a issue. Plus their customer service is awesome. I haven't had to use it because of a problem with the knife. Speaking with them about some questions I had have been great.
To this day, when a non-knife person asks me to recommend a "good knife that doesn't cost a lot" I recommend some version of the Griptilian depending on their specific needs. It's been around forever for a reason.
BHQ did restock the nimravus about a month ago and they sold out a few days ago. I'm guessing Benchmade shipped out the last of the discontinueds from that series.
I've known for a bit about EKives was my secret little honey hole. But that's over know lol. They will be sold out like the others now. But that's the biz. And you've showed me places I never new about and so many other cool knives over the years. Thanks for everything you do MC 🍻
I’ve been getting stuff from Eknives for a while now, absolutely love them. If a popular drop is coming, I go here first because other retailers go quicker. They also tend to get stuff up on the site earlier too. Also my Microtech dealer of choice :)
I have the Benchmade 550 but its in 154cm , says Mel Pardue on the backside. I'm looking for the s30 version you showed on the sight but i'm not seeing it anymore, maybe it sold out
Noice. Cool premise. A absolutely love my original Benchmade 550 griptillian. I paid $90 for it in about 2014. Love that BM licensed the spydy hole from Spyderco to create this little gem. It's aesthetically and ergonomically perfect and I love 154CM steel. A couple other honorable mentions imo is the Ganzo 720, the Lionsteel SR-1 knock off with Benchmades Axis lock knock off. It's a beast of a knife for less than $25. It's just 440C steel but Ganzo does a good heat treat. A great knife! The Real Steel H6 S1 is another absolute gem. 14C28N steel blade and perfect ergonomics in a very compact, lightweight and good looking package for about $50 can't be wrong.
I don’t have the money for it and probably won’t for a bit but does anyone have a recommendation of the benchmade griptilian? I’ve been eyeballing the mini grip in sheepsfoot for a while now.
I’ve always liked the 110. Sure the fit and finish isn’t the best but it’s so hefty and robust. Buck is known for their exceptional heat treat. 420HC is a mediocre steel that Buck makes respectable. I feel that the 110s with brass bolsters and wood handles you see in blister packs are a decent value.
Those attn2detail knives are supposedly really good. My buddy bought one, forget the model, and he loves it. I didn't personally handle it, just his word.
Eh. He's a knife enthusiast. Sure there are some that collect solely budget knives. But he's willing to pay more for knifes that are just all around better.

This is good stuff . I'm in Soddy-Daisy !
I love finding new places to brake the bank at. Complex is a hero.

Eknives is where its at. Great service and fast shipping! very friendly
Do they use USPS or UPS for shipping?
Hell yeah! I got my "Have a Knife Day" cup at EKnives! It's my favorite of all time!
Literally just snagged a griptilian 550...ive been looking for that configuration for a while. Thanks MC🤘
One knife if you can get hold of one which was absolutely epic is the Spyderco D'allara not only the knife itself yet also the story behind it.
Eknives is a great place. I go visit the Frenchies once a month. The humans are alright, too.
I like daggers too. My first and only Hinderer is the Maximus in working finish. I love it so much I named my cat after it lol
I have a griptilian with a hole and i absolutely love it! Changed out the scales for some black and blue micharda 🤗

The sheepsfoot griptilian is also on SMKW, Knife Center, and Blade HQ carry them. Get them before they discontinue them :)

James Brand jokes never get old!
Clayton and Coco ROCK!
Congrats on your new affiliation man! It's always nice to see these browsing vids as though we're all browsing. I never even knew Eknives was a thing.
To this day, when a non-knife person asks me to recommend a "good knife that doesn't cost a lot" I recommend some version of the Griptilian depending on their specific needs. It's been around forever for a reason.
I just bought a Ritter Hougue for my bros bday since he lost his $20 box store knife. He loves it!
@@harrycrab8725 That's a great gift for sure.
Love the content. Knife shopping with commentary was very satisfying. Great show take it easy.
I'm definitely going to look for some micarta scales for my griptilian as soon as I move somewhere with be a workspace

Metal Complex: I'm sitting back far to not scream in the microphone.
Also Metal Complex: "BOLSTERS!?!"
Awesome content and video as always MC , Now I have to go shopping and see what I can find.
Have a Blessed day today and every day.

I noticed that it seems like the sheepsfoot griptilian with the spydie hole has been on sale recently, I'm wondering if they are phasing it out
where?
Thanks for the PSA, never heard of Eknives. Thanks. Time to put my credit card to work!
Yes I love when we look together 😃
I feel like you ether bought the last sheepsfoot grip or it sold out as soon as this went up 😅
Love seeing the diversity they have on here.
I love the sheepsfoot Griptillian! I was able to find one about three weeks ago. I have AWT scales ordered for it.
Where did you find the scales can’t find many at retailers
I have the Benchmade 550 but its in 154cm , says Mel Pardue on the backside. I'm looking for the s30 version you showed on the sight but i'm not seeing it anymore, maybe it sold out
When checking out these pages, you should click on the last page/s just for fun to see what's lurking in the deep end 🤓
I own the Griptilian Sheepsfoot. It’s a SpyderGrip. I LOVE IT!
I still own that griptillian. If you do mod that I'd love to see a vid on where you shop to find stuff to mod it.
Noice. Cool premise.

What are the companies he is referring to when talking about ordering Chinese parts and slapping a made in USA on it?
These are always fun, thanks MC.
I used to have that griptilion and idk why the hell I sold it but I want another. Hate the scales though
Wife: You don't need more knives! You only have two hands!
Me: Buy another knife.
I don’t have the money for it and probably won’t for a bit but does anyone have a recommendation of the benchmade griptilian? I’ve been eyeballing the mini grip in sheepsfoot for a while now.
Aye I’m a local at eknives and they are literally the best people to buy from
One day in the future, we will sit on our thrones of historically important knives as we rule the dominions of the skies.
I’ve got a DLC signature SBD when I seen it I just had to buy it, I couldn’t help my self haha
I can't decide between the Benchmade Grip and the Doug Ritter RSK. S30V vs 20CV...
Cough cough always funny
Thanks!
I prefer the 550hg in 154cm, it’s such a good slicer.
I have the hollow grind 154cm version Griptilian. Such an awesome knife for the price.
I sold mine last month and I'm kicking myself in the ass...
Wait, so new griptilian arent hollow ground?
@@Brandon_Neil Yeah they went to a flat grind on the sheepsfoot some years back. It's a shame.
I've been deliberating the outbreak exocet on there for a while.
Been buying from eknives since i started collecting in 2013.... Mostly Microtech
Good information thanks
just received my first sebenza from them
Doug from A2D learned knife making from mick strider
Love eknives. Klay and his lovely wife are awesome to deal with. Now nothing will be in stock....lol
That Marfione “Tactical” flask for 1,300 though 😂😂😂 who buys these things lol.
Uncle Randy called. He's upset you just scrolled past those beautiful Buck 110's MC.

Just head on down to ace hardware and grab a buck. It’ll cut. What else do you need. All that fancy crap will just break anyway -uncle randy

E Knives is awesome, I've found some col stuff there.
I can afford to watch this video right now, thats about it as far as these beauties go 😂 i can dream
there are elmax shamans on bladeops!
trying to find the griptilian 550 in your thumbnail lol :(
E Knives always has been very microtech heavy; if you’re after a MT look at E Knives.
I like my Griptilian 😏😏👍👍
Eknives is a definite goto for harder to locate knives and older models. Good people👍
I thought the nimravis was long gone
You should make more videos on knive that are under $60
Eh. He's a knife enthusiast. Sure there are some that collect solely budget knives. But he's willing to pay more for knifes that are just all around better.
nah, plenty other channels that do that.
this channel is about quality 👌
Step yo bread up
You should check out Beez Blades bud.
I feel the same way about Attn2Detail. I really want to try one out but I don't see much about them.
Guess that's a good site for some, but not me, too expensive. Everything I saw was a car payment. 🤣 Thanks anyway for the info though.
Out of my price range .
👍👍😎😎
Sigh. Just what I needed a long-ass commercial.
Screw the eye hole, what? Ever watched “A Serbian Film”? 🤣🤢🤮
