For anybody who is struggling, putting the handles back in get some braided fishing line or whatever you would use to remove car badges, use that to hook the lever and pull it out while you put the handle back in. Hope this helps.
I needed to see how to do this to reconnect the outside key based door lock with the door locking actuator inside. (Specifically, the long metal piece shown at 3:03) is putting it back in as simple as just reconnecting that piece and screwing it back to the door?
Lol..putting it back is the problem for most...do what I do, go for a few pints and worry about it tomorrow 😆 just hook latch with a bit of wire and slide handle back in
