he answered from his pov. I understand your disappointment given usually be answered 'spirit of sport is to unite one another and hope for the future' especially in times of trouble with wars around the world going on. sport is still used for a beacon to unite countries from all parts. But originally it was to see who could win the wresting competition and see who was fastest over a 100 metre dash.
I don't understand this sharing of medals. The two guys from the last Olympics should have had a jump off too. Maybe that Brazilian would have only ever won three silvers and a bronze. Four medals in one event. That is really amazing.
He look so awkward and kept quiet the whole time ! Why ? Just speak it out ! America want to jump cus he don’t want u to have take any of the money ! N Hamish still cover for him? I look down at both
@@organicsoulmate8484They both wanted the jump-off & I agree with their decision; the purpose of the Olympics is to find the best. Hamish Kerr even said in an interview a month before the Olympics that if he was involved in a decision to share the gold, he would choose a jump-off (he posted it on his instagram if you need proof). Shelby McEwen was also a very gracious silver medallist & showed great sportsmanship, so he deserves credit for that. Being a good sportsman is easy to do when you win, but not so easy to do when you lose.
Well done and Congratulations Hamish Kerr, wonderful effort. your parents must be very proud. Kia kaha Hamish and thank you.
Hamish Kerr you beauty mate, so chilled so great already.
Congrats Ham, you did us proud - tumeke!
They both didnt want to share it, the best jumper won
Why was the first question/ comment directed to the 2nd place getter? And not the gold medalist?
Wow !!! So the Spirit of Olympic is : To be GREEDY. Wow ! Wow !! Wow !!! What a SPORTSMANSHIP.
sounds horrid, but it is what it is, your either come first 2nd or last thats sport.
the spirit of the Olympics is to strive to be the best. If you don't like competition....why would even watch?
Greedy??? For wanting to win the gold medal? That's what the best of the best is.
