The time,cost (money) & effort went in making this recipe Chicken Shawarma isn’t worth your time or effort. Better eat such food in a restaurant. I’m from USA , when I was in college all my friends & roommates used to love Thai Panang Chicken Curry 🍛 , I made it for 8 people & it took me 3 hours to make everything from scratch. It came out wonderful but not close to the taste that we get in a restaurant, cost wise we probably saved like 30$ for 8 people as in restaurant same food would cost 100$ , when made at home it cost like 70$. Then I’ve told my friends it’s not worth our time making at home , just go dine in a restaurant & enjoy the comfort & luxury. Same thing , u should never make Biryani / Tandoori Chicken kind of foods at home , certain foods should always be eaten at restaurants.
I am vegan living in USA , Colorado I would love to see paneer & falafel recipes....I would substitute paneer to Tofu and can use soy/ coconut yogurt for dips😋😋....can’t wait so watch that!!! Thanks Sanjyot for all your awesome, easy to follow recipes , you ROCK in kitchen!!

Made this today but it took me about a week to prep everything. The whole family LOVED it and full credits go to God Almighty, the 'Your Food Lab Channel' and my family for buying me all the ingredients! Hot Sauce - Because I didn't have soaked kashmiri chilli, i used about 1/4 cup kasmiri chilli powder instead. And added a total of at least 1 cup of water. Chicken - if you are putting the marinated chicken in the freezer, then make sure you put it in room temperature for at least 2-3 hrs before grilling it. Sandwich - for my actual sandwich, I used the two sauces, finely cut lettuce, pickled veggies, chicken, julliet cut cucumbers and tomatoes. Then I rolled up each sandwitch in a store-bought roti (its easier to roll than a naan bread). I heated up both sides on a skillet and then cut the sandwich in half (so much easier to eat and you can see each layer well hat way). Serving - you can serve the sandwiches with french fries, leftover chicken in the middle with leftover veggies around it, leftover sauces as a dip, roasted veggies, chickpea salad and hummus. Hope you try it out too :)

Tried your recepie along with garlic sauce and hot sauce. The entire shwawarma recepie is awesome from sauces to rolls. The outcome was super delicious and tasted awesome. You can even use a thick pineapple as a base to the skewer... and add a slice to the top after the meat is stacked. The juice flow into the meat and tenderize it and give it flavor. The Pineapple can be cut up after and added as garnish. It's yummy 😋

You can even use a thick pineapple as a base to the skewer... and add a slice to the top after the meat is stacked. The juice flow into the meat and tenderize it and give it flavor. The Pineapple can be cut up after and added as garnish. It's yummy 😋
