That new fourth line will help open up the top lines.

The biggest thing I hope for in Krebs under Ruff is that he can teach him how to play a full 2-Way game, the way he did with Briere and Peca.
Neither one of them put up very good numbers before coming to Buffalo, but under Ruff, they became 2-Way players with a stronger offensive game than they had prior. Krebs is a hair bigger than those guys, but I see the same speed, determination and ability to get under players skin the way those two did.
Hopefully Ruff can bring out of Krebs what Adams saw in him when he insisted that he be part of the Eichel trade.

      Great point.

@@bjarczyk No it’s not… Drury had 5, 20 goal seasons, when he got to Buffalo… Briere was a 30 goal scorer… Krebs is absolute hot garbage!

Krebs is a 23 year old first rounder. It’s extremely unwise to write him off. My issue with our fans is we have never in our entire franchise history seen a rebuild all the way through. So when you think about it we don’t know what it really looks like or feels like. We have to embrace the process. And then we act stunned when former Sabres win Stanley Cups when we could’ve had a good team if we did things right.

@@bjarczyk I’m not writing him off. I’m saying that he possibly could be really good with better coaching. But just because someone’s a first round pick doesn’t always guarantee that they’ll be good. Just ask Alex Nylander among others.

How is it NOT an advantage!? (Lower state taxes)

26th in the League in scoring last season.

We also improved defensively and won’t succeed in the playoffs scoring goals on the rush. Last season was fun but we need to change how we play.

A bunch of spin and hot garbage. We are gonna have 27 young prospects, without a path for them to make the roster. They can’t all play! You’re going to kill their development! But hey, you didn’t over pay, and you have a bottom 6. We will be more physical as we waste away our talent and miss the playoffs for the 14th straight season… and you can’t pay proven guys, because you need the money for guys that don’t have a path to the NHL roster… make this ludicrousness make sense! still trying to sign Zemgus… lol

If you really listen to what Adams says in his press conferences he lays it all out point by point. That’s how it makes sense brother.

You can spin it any way you want to, Nobody wants to come to the Sabre's. They are probably asking way to much. You can over pay. But I'll bet every team knows Buffalo's position and wants to fleece us. I want our team to improve and I'm willing to make some trades and give up assets but to a point. Also States that have no taxes or very little have an advantage over teams in NY. Even worse for Canadian teams. 5 mill is 5 mill in Florida 5 mill is less in NYS and even worse in Canada. Think this should be addressed when the owners meet and the NHL. But someone always finds a loop hole some where. Murray gave up to much when he was GM and it didn't work.

I’m glad to see another fan who has also been saying this! We can’t start making dumb Tim Murray moves just because we want to make the playoffs. Hopefully one more big signing or trade but otherwise stick to the plan.

This team is in very bad position atm. They can't get the players they really need because all those players want to play in a winning team and tbh, can't blame them for doing so. The sabres need to get into playoffs next season but now that im looking at atlantic division after this day... it's going to be even harder to achieve than last season because all other teams got stronger. Please, do not get your hopes up with this roster.

It still feels like Adams is playing wiffle ball while the rest are playing hard ball. Certainly not his fault. This is what happens when the drought has been so long, very tough to get the big guns. Is he the grown up version of the round headed kid? I'm only sad to see Davies go to the Senaturds, big changes since the draft here. Glad he mentioned the State tax, big obstacle!

    • @bjarczyk
      @bjarczyk 23 дні тому

I disagree with that. He’s playing chess while everyone is playing checkers. Making smart long term moves that will have massive payoff in a few years.

You have ASSETS. USE THEM NOW for trades needed for this team. You can spin this any way you want Kevyn but you lost 30 goals from Skinner how do you plan to replace those goals. This isn't a team that can rely on a goalie at least not until Levi takes over. UPL cannot handle a heavy workload.

So by trading Skinner we are also keeping pucks out of our net. Especially with all the signings today. We improved massively defensively. Skinners style also won’t work in the playoffs.
