      Nah that was a ~9 second Evo 8 or 9 haha. Built by Elite Autohaus here in Aus I think

    Nice. I have an 05 Outback wagon with a supercharger, really would like to see 11s one day.. What are you revving to? I noticed that you do not have to shift into 5th in the 1/4 mile. Your 1st gear looks really short though.

    • @tajypops123
      @tajypops123  3 роки тому

      Yeah first is short in all the 6-speeds. The H6 6-speed is shorter than the GT Spec B 6-speeds in 2nd-6th too. I would have to grab 5th with the H6 box but I've put the GT gearbox in the car. It revs to 7400 :)

      Sorry for intruding, but what kind of supercharger setup do you have? Is it Raptor?

    • @patonbike
      @patonbike 3 роки тому +4

      @@CanYouDoNot No problem, it is a Vortech V3 si. I used to have a Raptor and it is nice unit, but it will only run about 12psi of boost. The Vortech will make about 20psi although I have to spin the motor pretty fast to keep up with the supercharger since the SC is a bit oversized for the motor. The Vortech would be great on a H6 Subaru . I am happy to answer any questions about my setup!

      @@patonbike Thank you so much! I thought the raptor kit was the only option, I recently installed their headers and while it's more lively it's just not enough.
      Did you have to use the raptor kit then switch out the supercharger for the Vortech V3 si?

    • @patonbike
      @patonbike 3 роки тому +2

      @@CanYouDoNot I made my own bracket based on Raptor's design (bolts to water pump and intake manifold). If you are just going for say 200-300 whp the Raptor is a nice kit and will be the easiest to fit. I am going for 400whp+. It is hard to beat Raptor's price because the price of a Vortech is nearly the price of the entire Raptor kit though.. These supercharger head units are pricey. Where are you located? If in AU, I think shipping from Raptor is another advantage.

    • @tajypops123

      Fully stock in this video :)
      Later I put ARP2000 head studs in because it was pushing some coolant.
      A few months ago it let go and broke a conrod, and I am now building a motor with all upgraded parts. I might film a video of the engine assembly

    I want to do the EZ30 swap but where can I buy the turbo exhaust manifolds?

    • @benjaminmcintosh857
      @benjaminmcintosh857 3 роки тому

      You'll be fabbing them up yourself, haven't heard of any kits

    • @tajypops123
      @tajypops123  3 роки тому +3

      yep, nobody makes a bolt-on solution, the exhaust from the manifolds to the dump pipe(s) will have to be custom made. Al from The Skid Factory could make you a set of cast low-mount manifolds for smallish twin turbos though if you're interested in that. Have a look at his videos about it for more info!

    Is the motor built on this? This looks awesome but incredibly costly lol

    • @tajypops123
      @tajypops123  3 роки тому

      Nope, it was completely unopened for about a year but lifted the heads and/or blew the head gaskets. Now it just has some ARP head studs in it & has been going well for a year and a half. Its not as costly as people make it out to be if you're handy with some DIY!
