Calling all Amtrak Fans! This video is for you. Our railfanning schedule has been postponed for the past few weeks because of the coronavirus outbreak. As a result, we came up with an idea to post a few video presentations to help pass the time in quarantine. This week, we put together some video footage of Amtrak trains that we have filmed recently including in years past. Don’t forget the snacks and drinks of 30+ minutes of Amtrak trains. We hope you are all staying safe and healthy in quarantine so we can all return out trackside very soon. Next week, we will be showing freight trains. Enjoy the following presentation! - Авто та транспорт

Happy Birthday Amtrak
They are so much Amtrak trains
In the UK, as a country that has virtually no loco-hauled trains left, its good to see the US still using theirs.
Why wouldnt we have any?!
There are locomotive hauled trains in UK still some got save from scrap and put in Heritage railways and there is steam trains still driving in UK in some places for special services Google can tell you
8:05 how beautiful! The classic F40PH’s are somewhat still in service. I love it

Great Amtrak catches!
I like the charger locomotive it's my favorite locomotive
I love Amtrak trains I will drive one
Hold on a BNSG leading some Amtrak diesels. 🤯🤯🤯 Mental
Amtrak trains rule the rails
Excellent catches Andrew Of Amtrak my favorites are the Southwest Chief Empire Builder and California Zephry Because of the scenery
Thank you!

I think the most important thing about the locomotive is the horn. ;-)
Good to see Wadsworth IL in some of the shots.

5:16 161 was the 50th anniversary unit phase one replica of 156 apparently.
0:48 was a little weird. I wonder why Amtrak was using that BNSF locomotive
probably they found out that P42 DC died during the run so a BNSF loco came
Emperor Palpatine Amtrak needed A helper loco because the other p42s died
Thanks @The British Citizen and @H O Scale King!!
tArTaRaki808 gotcha
One of the Genisis' probably messed up, their water tanks can burst easily, my dad had to operate a NS with the carolinian last week because of that.
my favorite amtrak train ever 8:05
I subbed from this video in September
This must going through time
17:54 is my favorite runby! Nice work!
Thank you!
@A-Train 4014 Productions where did you catch these trains?
32:18 IM SURPRISESD THEY LEFT AT THE SAME TIME😧
What scares me the most is the state of the rails in the US. The very second train pulled by a BNSF locomotive is rolling like on a rough sea. And the train goes pretty fast! What percentage of trains derail in the US each year?
So yesterday I was railfanning at the amtrak jesup station when a sc44 charger went by pulling amtrak 97. We used to only have either dash-8bwh's leading or p42dc's leading. I am starting to kinda see why amtrak wants sc44 chargers so much they are quick.
Yeah
Thank you for sharing these videos. I myself have been binge watching a lot of train videos. Stay safe and healthy and before we all know it us foamers will be back filming trains again.
Thanks for watching, James! I’m praying that we will return trackside very soon. Sending well wishes that you and your family stay safe and healthy. -Andrew Mangalindan

I am a train driver in Germany. Very interesting to see this vids
Trains in America are very interesting, it’s unique because there are some lines that travel between two urban cores, but also trains that travel halfway across the country

Excellent video editing and sound.. The doppler effect is awesome.!!
The best thing about being an engineer on an Amtrak, just about the only color you’ll see is Green..
Outside of Denver we are in a siding (coal train) waiting for them to pass but before they reached us the Amtrak lead unit died. The remaining consist were facing the wrong way or a B unit. Dispatch had them put their bad unit in a siding but what then? No way to turn a unit. They had the main tied up for almost 24 hrs.. (BNSF Engineer, retired)

Koh Tae-bong
That’s probably when they were going to metra
It would be nice to have a little more info on each one of these...date, location, the train name, for example.
Seems pretty inefficient to me. When 5 wagons are pushed by two or three powerful locomotives? Either they are quite defective and the other is a backup. That is, even as quite an unnecessary dragged burden. I would also like to know how it is done at the end of the ride? Do both locomotives switch and turn on the turntable? Or are there two more locomotives that connect at the end of the train and then I disconnect the front two locomotives? wouldn't it be better to have two locomotives straight at both ends so that the cabins are always used in the direction of travel? It is rarely seen in Europe. Although I understand that the distances are smaller. Or is it just a coincidence of this video?
If your talking 2 locos on superliners(the double decker train) then its for help if breakdown and for power because FRA standard want it to become heavier
And if talking about intercity trains have 2 locos at each back (the single level train) the blocky nose one is actually NPCU (non powered control unit) it acts the same as a cab car
Amtrak dont have turntables so they use either loop track or the end to end locomotives unless its the acs 64 since the only one that has double head
0:28 bnsf did couple with amtrak
that was cool!!!!...thanks...
Thanks for watching!
Amtrak is so 😎 cool
From my perspective as an Australian man and Railway Enthusiast here in Melbourne, Australia, an absolutely magnificent video here 👍👍👍 on Amtrak's Trains and Services. Please keep up the good work ✔️✔️✔️✔️. Incidentally, I saw why an Amtrak hood designed diesel was on the front of your trains, with the train being a Push - Pull type, either that or the original streamlined loco had broken down and the hood designed unit was called in to assist.

@@shirleypelham a noticeable difference between a P40 and P42 is that the P40s are numbered 800-843, P42s numbered 1-207.
Majority of the P40s have been sold to various companies. Some of the companies with the former Amtrak units have them in revenue service. Others however have been used as part sources and most are now completely scrapped up.
