Great looking moped! Great video! Parts were serious and other part made my laugh along with you. Sounds to me like the carb needs to more work. Hopefully Claire is going to do her usual cleaning so it sparkles and shines. Cheers. Keep the videos coming.
My mates dad did house clearances and bought about 20 of those things. He gave us kids 1 each because nobody wanted um. We used um as field bikes for years, they were brilliant fun. Pedal um until the green light came on and away you went.
From what I remember, there's a gauze filter in the fuel tap, which can be accessed by unscrewing the tap from the tank. Also another thimble type gauze filter in the removable union on the carburettor where the fuel pipe fits. Points gap and ignition timing have to be spot on for the engine to run properly. Set up well they are pretty brisk for a stenchwheel. Oh, the memories...
What a laugh! You did right in taking off the Carb even just that quick clean out made quite a difference. I think if you had just a small piece of foam taped on as an air filter then that would have made it run better. The point is though it runs and drives so what more could you ask for? 'Talkin bout my generation', (Mod helmet) but I haven't died before I got old. 🤣 Great video Claire and Elton, something very different. 👍👍
I had a Motobecane Mobylette in the mid eighties, a type that often was confused with a Puch. It was a lot perkier than it probably should have been, being a 1973 bike
When you have it running properly I wonder how many miles per gallon it will give. When I was 16 I had a considerably heavier 50cc moped called a Vespa Vespino. Despite being quite heavy it achieved 190 miles per gallon.

Love it. Could probably do with a set of clutch plates in it .seems to be slipping.
It looks more tropical in your part of the world than it does up north!
im howling watching this you two crack me up!!
We do have a laugh most days 😂 Glad you enjoyed it.
You have made me even more eager to get my 1975 PF50 Novio done.
Glad to hear it!
You are spot on there Claire, it is called a tickler 👌Great video 👍
She had to be right one day 😂 ~ Elton
@11.38, undo the pinch bolt, angle the carb off & unscrew the bowl at the bottom & there is a jet in there

They must have been everywhere, back in the day. We really need to get one of the earlier pedal versions.
They’d keep her fit, that’s for sure

I did think it was odd that there was no visible fuel filter. Thanks for that. Glad it brought back some memories for you 😀

Thank you. We’ve had a bit of a debate about whether to upload it, hence the delay. Good shout re. the foam 👍🏻
This episode is a Hockey game.
A sweet score and a great save eh!

We’ve got a few of those here, too, and absolutely love them.
Good old Chicken Chaser as we called them in 80.s 😂😂
A new video ! Yaay...U guys have been surely missed :)
Missed you too! 😁
@@UKBarnFinds Did mopeds in the UK, really have such large reg.plates ?
Yes, those are the original reg plates
@@UKBarnFinds Holy moly. In my country, the reg.plates for mopeds are a quarter the size, so they sort of..match the size of the moped
This is better than laurel and hardy nice one peeps
yes, put the air box back on
@30.03, mixture screw, sent another email of carb from workshop manual
You wouldn't believe I've got one of them
Oh yes we would… 😂

It seems you two were laughing as much as me. I believe people have complained about Henry and lack of H&S, when I was young we used common sense!
So glad you enjoyed it. It was a fun day. We try to use common sense here, too, but it’s sometimes lacking 😂
wow had one of those as a pit bike when I was a "youngster.".. take the main jet out and they go like a stabbed rat
This is the info I need to read. Thank you!
I had a m50 grand prix in the early 90s it's the fsie equivalent. I only paid 50 quid for it out of the loot 😂 if only I had a crystal ball 🙄
Yeah, they go for strong money now 😳
chicken chaser no end of these were killed as field bikes by kids lol
These and the Crunch! Happy days 😀
Only idle speed
Sent you an email with photos, oh I've got a workshop manual on these
Excellent thanks Nick!
