Doing it this way, it doesn't even matter what you buy. Before talking to Hogan you're at a net zero regardless. So i went to every trading post, bought out all the items, talked go hogan to start his 50k, then went to the trade house right there in town, sold everything, and recruited right away
I've heard that but I took it an extra step to ensure profits as if you were to already have talked to him (even though I advise not to!) I went the most profitable route I could and did it safely, with the thought of a possible patch negating just buying anything, talking to him then selling it all. Slim chance that'll happen, but I just want to be safe and not sorry for any future viewers since they got rid of item duping fairly quickly (RIP)
That was good point there but for me I buy everything, save and talk to Hogan(do not talk first before buy), then sell.If not then load the game until you recruit Hogan.
Yes! Buy everything BEFORE you talk to Hogan and it will be profit. I went overkill with it, but if it ever gets patched, this will still be the perfect way to do it.

I'd say go to each town and buy everything labeled in the video, then go back back to each town and sell the most profitable item labeled. Hope this helps!
