Yes you can use the normal pipe used in the house, normally 3inches pipe. For flushing the borehole, invite experts that drill borehole, they have machine for flushing, but if your intention is just to clean and flush the pipe instead, use water treatment chemicals like isochlor etc in high doses to do it
Just make it a bit big enough to enter an adult chicken, if its standing perpendicular to the pipe. I doubt if there's a standard for spacing of the nipple, so use your discretion.
