Thank you, for very informative videos. I wud relish the chance to join you on an outing, totally fascinating to long time pond hopper. Canoes kayak only 😅 County born living in excile southern Maine
I generally use my canoe or go out from shore! Recently I’ve had some friends and family take me out on their boats which is always nice and for sure a little easier! I’m right in central Maine which puts a lot of territory in day trip distance for me as well as several of my favorite spots right close by.
The whole time it was like where’s all the white perch?! AND pickerel! Guess there just wasn’t many around that one particular area. In all the time spent fishing there I had only seen maybe a couple hornpout ever so was surprised to see that big group! For those that like to eat yellow perch it seems like they’d do well there although a lot of younger ones.
Love the videos and content. I was curious if I could possibly get some help, lost a rod and reel yesterday? I’m thinking you might have a great chance of recovering it. Howland Maine area.
I definitely hadn’t considered that, I suppose it could be. I haven’t known them to be found in there but I also hadn’t seen largemouth bass in there before either!
Thanks! I believe there is a public boat launch on the Orneville side where the transfer station is but parking your vehicle and trailer may be an issue. Mostly used as a place for camp owners to launch then drive to their camps to park kind of thing. Someone might be willing to let you park somewhere nearby but obviously I couldn’t say for sure.
It always amazes me how smallmouth are so curious. Good habitat for largemouth.
They aren’t camera shy that’s for sure!
Awesome

There are tons of white perch in there usually. Still pretty cool to see the bass and other fish in there.

Are you sure those are shiners and not alewife? It looks like Boyd does connect to the Penobscot, which has been having record runs recently.

Is the boat launch there public? Big enough for a 18' tracker boat? I watch your videos to see where I wanna fish next. Great stuff.
