Water front piru was a hood in the westside project. shared with the westside wilmas. Started going at with them in the mid 90s. They came back to the pjs in the late 90s and the drama started again. But when we were all out there sharing the pjs ...u couldn't pull up and dump cuz if u did, u were gonna get dumped on by both hoods , bloods and the wswilmeros not because we were together but because we shared the same pjs and protected our hoods the same...

How do people from Wilmington and San Pedro not know that they are city of L.A?
Everything about both communities are L.A from the mayor, police and schools.
Same as Watts, Venice, Pacoima and so many more examples.
A lot of those neighborhoods still use their neighborhood name as their postal code even though they haven’t been actual cities in 100+ years.
Also places like San Pedro, Wilmington, Harbor City, etc are so far away from the main core of the city that they go by their own identity.
