View some of California's best and most innovative county practices, including San Bernardino County's Fire Crew Program. San Bernardino County Sheriff and Fire departments pool their resources and train county jail inmates to help fight fires. The program helps the community, saves the county money and provides the inmates with a marketable skill they can use when they are released.

This is an awesome program. I've worked along side these crews, they are some of the hardest working people on the strike teams I've been on. Great video, too! :)

I was on a vacation in California I got arrested I had to spend 5years in prizon but I had no idea about the fire program because I'm from new york I think it's the best thing for inmate to do the fire program instead of being in real prizon I been to fenner canyon la cima it made my time go by fast instead of being in real prizon with all the bullshit politics I'm from N.Y. so they don't have the race segregation I thinks that's bullshit u can't eat or do anything with other racist
