You mentioned syncopated steps, but the source of syncopation is the music (defined as: accent not only on the strong beat but also WITHIN the beat). And when we do this figure with music, there is no guarantee that there is syncopation in the music at exactly the same time that you call for syncopation in the steps.
This point would have been more clear if you had ended the video with a demonstration to actual tango music.

Not to be danced in any social dance big mistake, maybe in Ecuador but not in Buenos Aires nono no. Syncopation refers to the music not to the dance.
