If you want that to work without killing the turbo , use the butterfly valve as a bypass .... bypass the combustion chamber , cool air into turbine...Of course you wont need such a large valve ..
I've searched high and low for footage of an uncontained failure of an automotive turbo. I've seen them cough up the turbine wheel out the exhaust but never seen the housing fail. If you have evidence to the contrary I'd love to see it! We do also normally institute a 'safety plane' where everyone needs to stay out of the plane of rotation of the turbo, but in this instance Vincent kind of forgot it. :S
@@survantjames The last thing needed is an injury. I enjoy your videos to much! Lol Honestly I would have been excited and prob been right next to it going "Ooooo, look at it spin!" Lmao!!
@@ChainsawFPV Thanks man! Yeah as the sophistication of what we are doing rises, so does the need for safety margin. Got some new footage about ready to drop… if you thought this was sketchy, you're gonna love the next one! ;)
How did u guys manage to spend so much money making this yet didn’t invest in tools to do it properly and managed to over complicate the simple concept of a turbo burn barel. I was able to make one for 60$!go to the junk yard and get some turbos cheap
If my turbine blade is shooting drops of liquid metal, I'm having fun
MOTÖR is pleased!

Your the guys that have jet engine. Cool bro 😎 love it
Because we can, btw great video guys love seeing these sorts of projects.
Oh this is cool, a biomass burning gas turbine
Cool. The combustion temperature was too high you need to redesign the burner.
Im guessing none of you have seen a turbo explode or none of you would have been standing there.......

What's the point of this?
It pleases MOTOR.
Utterly pointless 🥴
