I put over 20 miles on mine a couple rides ago. At the end of the day the horse wasn’t sore and neither was I. I. Highly recommend this saddle. Buy it, You will not regret it!
I LOVE these saddles .I REALLY LOVE That Cheyenne Roll, It is up nice and high... This is a VERY NICE video for this saddle ...And BTW we are ALL very pleased to see you out of the neck piece..Looks like you are making fantastic progress .. Keep up the good work and KEEP ON RIDING .. BUT PLEASE STAY SAFE ..
Sheridan makes many nice Wade special order saddles for under a grand, we have been very pleased with them so far, it’s a great option for the budget minded person.
I would argue that they aren't the same quality at all. For one thing, they're an A fork, not a true wade saddle. This makes them too high in the fork for roping cattle without putting more stress on the horse's withers. Add that to the fact that our saddles were developed from Pat's years of experience knowing exactly what works and what doesn't in a slick fork saddle that will give you many years and many miles of use with both the human and the horse's comfort in mind. You really do get what you pay for. I guess if you've never had steak, hamburger is fine.
buck rolls . thats what they are called...😊.. Thanks Deb.... Interesting you say You don't recommed them . ??? Maybe Pat can Comment On those buck rolls someday...😊..thaks..
@@dirksimmang Because it's a Slick Fork saddle. Adding Buck Rolls doesn't help you stay on if that's what you're after. The purpose of the Slick Fork is to allow more movement in the saddle. Buck Rolls just get in the way.

Pat this saddle looks just like the inexpensive wades that also come out of Chihuahua under brands like Eaton and Corriente. Are these from the same type of maker down there? I have expensive Wades and cheapos, Whats the difference in yours?
I just got mine not long ago! Maybe you guys who have one can help me out! I’m having issues with it sliding forward. Even with a saddle pad and a blanket. Do I need to pad up more?? Thanks! I have many different horses so I’m figuring out the saddle and padding lol!

We only offer our saddle in a roughout. Over time, the saddle darkens to a richer color the more it is used. We also recommend that you apply Obenaufs Leather Preservative to your new saddle once it arrives which will help with the process. @@PatnDebPuckett okay perfect, that's what I thought! I thought I heard Pat say it had a post horn. That's what I get for watching the video while drilling wheat
We’ve never had a problem. We want the rope to be very stable so it can be used to grab onto and so it won’t flap around and hang up on anything. We want the rope to stay close to the horse and exactly where it is supposed to be.
Pat knows what he's doing. If you're seriously interested in busting into the ranch life and need a saddle, you can't go wrong with Pat's.

We have an individual saddle maker in Chihuahua who makes our saddles to Pat’s specifications who we’ve been dealing with for over a decade.

What is the measurement for the seat size for this saddle pat & deb?
I believe this particular saddle is a 15 1/2 inch seat. Of course, people order the size they need.
Beautiful saddle. Is that rough out on the seat?
I watched again and see that it is.

Does a draft horse need a wider saddle than a standard saddle?
It would depend on the size of the draft horse and the shape of his back.
Please forgive me if I'm confused but why a post horn and not a Guadalajara horn?
This saddle does not have a post horn. It is in the Guadalajara style which is angled down at the back.

The only thing I don’t agree with is fastening the rope to the horn that tight in case you get tangled or hook into a tree branch
We’ve never had a problem. We want the rope to be very stable so it can be used to grab onto and so it won’t flap around and hang up on anything. We want the rope to stay close to the horse and exactly where it is supposed to be.
Don't you want your saddle to leak a little bit? It might explode if it doesn't.

The saddle horn looks different on each saddle are they?
No. It's the same dimensions on each saddle.
