Hi @mgear088 the R20 cannot be fitted with Billy Bonkers as it will affect the folding of the Birdy Bike. Only 18" Birdy bikes can be fitted with the 18" ETRTO 355 Billy Bonkers.
@@mgear088this is similar to most road bike design. They are cannot accommodate fat profiles tires. This is also why Birdy has a GT model that comes with fat knobby tires.
Expensive but you are only going to buy this bike once. Its so high quality. It can last a lifetime. And it will be a Joy to ride. And if like me a bike is your only form of transport. Its going to save you thousands over the years. And pay for itself many times over.
Can I put dropout handle bars and a 52-72 chainrings to get proper cadence with the baby wheels on the flats?
You can. But we do not do customisation at the store. You can check out other bike shops that provide this service.
Possible to use with a normal fork? The chain stay tube is open. Why ?

Don't think so. The frame, front fork and rear frame are designed in such a way to allow the Birdy to fold neatly.

All else being equal, acceleration should be faster with the smaller wheels but top speed will be lower.
