Santino Argese I am not a pro, i didnt Even play this Game But the answer is trial and Error , keep playing untill you know every stage and their traps , and that speedrun wasnt perfect he had a few deaths which costed him Around 10 seconds.
It's a purposefully designed trap in the game. You'll get a message from "Liar" that says: "Are you enjoying trap?", which doesn't allow you to see the spikes above. One of the most creative and interesting traps in this game, imo.
