I remember when electric windows were introduced and people used to say ‘bah, its just more to go wrong’. Now we have seats that perform sodding yoga moves! Loved the V’s at the radio and being trolled by the air con. 😂 The headlights make it look like its suffering from hayfever. P.s. just ordered an i3s. 😘
Bob Flavin I currently drive a van instead of a company car. As BIK is dropping to 0% next year an electric car is now an option. I’m taking another engineer on that can use my van (150hp Caddy) so it frees me up to take a leccy car. Will be on a business lease. Why did I pick an i3s? I drove one. Lovely thing and I didn’t like the look or style of any of the alternatives. I did watch your i3s video beforehand so thanks for that. I will rarely use the rear seats so the doors are not an issue. Looking forward to an October delivery. 👌 Waiting for a Juicebox charger to be installed. Edit: I’m thinking you might be wondering why I didn’t go for a Tesla Model 3. Well... they look nice and all that, but for me, as a business user, I don’t think it would set the right impression when I turn up at a business to conduct a fire risk assessment in a Tesla Model 3. That and the fact that the lease deal on a Tesla was quite a bit more expensive per month than the I3s. I got the lease from BMW and it works out at £286 plus vat per month for a 4 year lease including maintenance. The Tesla needed to be sourced from a leasing company rather than from Tesla and that made the cost nearer £370 plus vat a month without maintenance. So it was a no brainer for me.
Long overdue an appointment with the orthodontist. Also imagine the horror of having to wait for that seat to fold out of the way to let the kids into the third row in the lashings of rain.
The grille... It’s like an air conditioning vent on the outside of a supermarket. It’ll also completely fill your rear view mirror. This from the same people who give us the i3. Look forward to viewing the video later.
Bob Such potential, but I’m not sure if it’s expensive to build, with the carbon tub. Like my beloved A2 which Audi lost money on every one they built. I don’t know.
It’s luxurious and beautifully built but my god is it hideous. Was delighted when all petrolheads came together in solidarity to say how hideous the face lifted 7 series was too. When will BMW get back to making handsome cars? Yes the M2 looks proper and the 8 series is striking but personally the only handsome bmw I can think of over the last few years was the 6 series gran coupe. Good review though Bob!
Mr ex-smokkerspack bob what is the x7 like for parking and around town ? Does it stick out the bays in shopping carparks , can it handle tight turns in small spaces e.g. the Touareg has the option of 4 wheel steering? Does the x7
That is a very gimmicky car. And it's ugly. And the seats move too slow. I suspect that like most modern BMWs, it's filled with planned obsolescence and in 2 years or 40,000km, everything will start to fail...
Doesn't that just prove my point Bobby boy, yep, that T5 Jerry pain in the arse is moaning again.............it DOES though, prove my point that you can't beat a big knob, you just reach for it, and it's THEIR, no messing about, no "LOOKING" for the buttons, swerving all over over the road, nope, there's ABSOLUTELY no denying it Bobby boy, you can't beat a big knob any day of the week !!!!!
you can buy 3 tesla's for that money. the future or nothing! Bob it's a diesel. drive it around to the local museum and leave it there to show the next generations just how badly BMW lost the plot
Those electric seat mechanisms are a example of over engineering for the sake of it. I can see why its top of your list though. Seems to be almost flat on the corners!
It's really sad to see BMW wasting R&D money on this kind of horrendous garbage. Even the promo shots BMW first put out made the thing look hideous. It's oversized for european roads, and lacks the packaging advantages electric 7 seaters have. Too much over-complicated gadgetry as well, usually poorly test and with high repair costs outside warranty. iDrive was grand... 5-10 years ago. Now they don't support android auto, don't support streaming audio in Ireland (and even outside Ireland they don't support Spotify like Tesla do they use Deezer), charge for map updates that still need to be done manually and online search like everything else is a separate subscription. The X7 is a pure vanity project by BMW upper management, busy building homermobiles for themselves and some imagined US market while their customers leave for greener pastures.
Love this, sexiest suv. Also there’s no hybrid in this vehicle. For Apple car play have to leave ur phone on the wireless charging pad for it to run smoothly.
wouldnt like to get out of the very back seats if god forbid a fire ;,shopping hooks ; think if can afford this car sure you would get the paid staff to sought shopping lol
The reviewer obviously doesnt know how to use the buttons! I can’t watch this guy! You don’t have to keep hold the buttons down to fold the seat!! Just press it once! And lots of little thinks like this continue the whole video... horrible

Bob, we help people buy cars for a living. Your reviews help us help people buy cars. I would like to rate your reviews 5 stars!
Luke Gilbert I’ll definitely work on this Luke, I’ll come up with a system that works
Take one in a heartbeat
Got three kids
Just not with cream seats
Great video mate 😎
Hi Bob. All seat buttons are press and wait, not press and hold. BMW made them intentionally slower for safety. Great review!
A big button on the top of the seats has been good for decades and it's instant, some things just work in family cars
Another bloody awesome review !
Long overdue an appointment with the orthodontist. Also imagine the horror of having to wait for that seat to fold out of the way to let the kids into the third row in the lashings of rain.
Imagine trying to get those seats down in a pissing rain... Waiting.... Get fing soaked...
It never rains in the design studio 😂

They had a good headstart with the i3 but they've wasted it

I don’t know.
Great review Bob. Love the X7. Looks great
You can get a 2019 fully loaded 30d for £60k in the UK. That's good have value for size and spec
King of the SUV!
What a car! Great review

When will BMW get back to making handsome cars? Italians produce beauty. BMW do engineering but Handsome? no it's not what they do
Beauty is in the eye of the beholder, it's aggressive looking
@@BobFlavinVideo I am sure the Guinness helps with that
You didn't have to press and hold the button's boet, its press and wait😅
Tries to turn off the A/C --> *Leave me alone! You're not my mom!*
I thought the Skoda Superb is the best car in the world 🤣 Have you tried Wireless CarPlay in the Passat facelift or the very latest Audi’s ?
Great review as always.
Do the hand gestures work if Joe Duffy is on the radio?
What’s with the flashing light above bob’s head in the back seat?
Do you still feel the same way about the Skoda Octavia 2002?
The same as what?

Bob have you seen the proposed tax on noX. possibly between 5 to 10 euro per mg?
The car industry is going to be ruined by these tax changes unless you really want an EV. That will be ruined in a few years

My thoughts exacly
Cheapest one on carzone is €125k. Wowza.
€117 000 for a diesel bus. I can't wait to watch the depression.
dont let bmw hear you call it a bus lol.
you can buy 3 tesla's for that money. the future or nothing! Bob it's a diesel. drive it around to the local museum and leave it there to show the next generations just how badly BMW lost the plot
I'm gonna make your eyes hurt now, the test car is over 145k
@@BobFlavinVideo wow 4 teslas! soon Bob you will be doing grand tour type testing in unattainabley priced super cars.
For £145k I would rather go for 100 used multiplas or 40 jukes and have whole army of ugliness

Amazing to drive but slightly annoying to own.
Bob Flavin sounds like my missus.

Almost as good as the Berg Hybrid Tractor.
It will sell my the millions pcp. Hand it back before it breaks

I don’t like it. Dated design. BMW need to give their head a wobble.
