Is there any danger in not letting the lamp warm up before turning it off? Or does it just mean you will have to wait longer for it to reach 5600k when you turn it back on again?
This may be an odd question but what happens to these 24k HMI bulbs when they fail? I am an avid lighting collector and would like to have one of these lamps for my collection.

The light is probably 10s of thousands of dollars in cost, and the bulb probably costs a few thousand to replace !
