    Great review. I had mine for a month or so and I really enjoy using it. Yes it heavier but it felt so sturdy and well made. Very durable yet classy design. Helmie has hit another home run.

    The side pockets are for your gun and the clips on the shoulder straps is to release one strap and slide it in front to access your gun. Those are two magazine holder pockets in that side pocket too. It's literally a ccw bag.

      I use the side pockets for candy canes and the CCW pocket for lollipops, but to each his own.

    This is the first time I caught one of your reviews and I have to say you did an outstanding job. You covered everything really well and although this bag is not for me, I feel like I know enough about it that I can make that determination correctly now. Thank you very much.

    Amazing review, helm is an amazing dude as well.I ordered an evade and he personally called to let me know they change the shipping company from usps to ups as bag we’re going missing.I never spoke with the head of a company before so you feel like you’re in a special group.

    Fantastic review. This would be the perfect edc bag for me if it came in a smaller 16-20L model.

    Excellent review. Informative and well thought out without the fluff. Appreciate the quick comparison to other bags too.
    Thanks for showing real items you carry as well. I don’t now why more brands don’t show items in their product photos and videos (here’s looking at you, Mystery Ranch).
    By the way, the Axiom has no independent volume for water bottles (they eat into the internal space). That’s a huge con for me.

      Thanks! I try to do the reviews the way I’d like to watch them. Glad that resonated with you.

    Awesome review! I think the strap disconnect is to wrap around a chair etc... to prevent theft.

      Good insight on the strap disconnect. I never considered that.

    With the weight, would you use this for long walks or hikes?

    It is always funny how ' Matryoshka ' is pronounced, that being said, a great backpack and review is top notch as well :)

    Missing your on body demonstration. Would like to see the size comparison on body. Still a very nice review!
    Thanks

      Sorry about that. I thought I filmed it but must have missed it in the edit. I try to do that each review.

    What are your thoughts on the pathfinder vs the evade 1.5 full? I personally prefer the admin panel at the front of the pack in the evade, but the side pockets/side internal mesh on the pathfinder main compartment are intriguing. I’m not sure how I feel about clamshell opening for the laptop compartment though - thinking I’d prefer the more simple evade access.

    • @CityTrekker
      @CityTrekker  3 роки тому +1

      Wow quite the question. I think it depends on what you are looking for in regards to aesthetics, organization, expansion/adaptability, and practical use. For me, I prefer the Pathfinder, but love both bags.
      You don't need to fully open the laptop compartment clamshell. I just open it part of the way to access.

    Hi. Have you experienced any difficulties when unzipping the zippers at the top corners of the main compartment? Did you asee any deterioration of the fabric?

    • @CityTrekker
      @CityTrekker  3 роки тому

      Yes it took a couple weeks for the zippers to break in. I haven’t noticed any deterioration.

    • @dabster14
      @dabster14 3 роки тому

      @@CityTrekker thank you for the feedback. Not exactly a deterioration. It is where the zippers at the top corners come in contact with the fabric leaving some white lines like scratches. Have you noticed sth like this?

    in your opinion, would you think this would be good for a college student? lots of books, 15" laptop, want comfort too

    • @CityTrekker
      @CityTrekker  3 роки тому

      Yes! This would be a great bag for a college student. Excellent organization, amazing harness system, good size. Yes.

      @@CityTrekker thank you for your reply!! given this, Greenroom136 Rainmaker, and Able Carry Max which would you choose if you were headed off to college? All 3 require me to pay to return or in the case of Rainmaker, can't return so I need advice else I would just order all 3 and check for ourselves. We currently have the Tortuga Outbreaker which may be the end for our search, son likes. I just didnt want to discount those others if more comfortable.

  • @lukefromowitz4514
    @lukefromowitz4514 3 роки тому +1

    So it sounds like the axiom harness is not as comfortable the pathfinders, correct?

    • @CityTrekker
      @CityTrekker  3 роки тому +2

      I would agree with that. But the Axiom also weighs a lot less so that’s a factor too.

    • @lukefromowitz4514
      @lukefromowitz4514 3 роки тому

      @@CityTrekker how do you think the pathfinder compares to the evade on harness comfort? I find the axiom 24 is much more comfortable than the evade but you can fit more in the evade. Wondering if the pathfinder is superior or just differences in body types. In general not a fan of the thin and wide straps of the evade. Wish they took the padding out of the back panel and put it into the straps.
