Them playing the theme from the Astrid Lindgren classic "Mio min Mio," was surprising. :)
It is more impressive by the fact that the guards often travel half the city (or rather Vasastan) before the actual change of guard happens at the palace.

For the unit: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Life_Guards_(Sweden), the music seems to be performed by an airforce unit, could be The music corps of the Homeguard in Uppsala (Hemvärnets musikkår Uppsala) - they have airforce uniform m/1986.
The Band is The Home Guards Band, Södertörn using the marine uniform.
There's few instances of tourists disrespecting these guards because they are "handled" !

@@RGandRea Because in Sweden, Norway, Denmark, the Vatican, the Quirinale, the Royal Guards have the same authority on the Royal properties as the police, and don't tolerate tourists getting out of line. I know of a couple instances where people were deported. If you notice in this video, there's no local police, and the spectators are QUIET. Because the guards are keeping the peace. Unfortunately in Great Britain, it's become very close to an amusement park with people mimicking, mocking, etc the guards. Cliché if you will. And the London Metropolitan Police SO19 (armed police) who are the real Palace security are about the sloppiest looking that I've seen. The ones at Windsor are a few steps up. I did see a Beefeater (Yeoman Warder) at the Tower of London severely chastise a tourist who was mocking a guard... but the Beefeaters actually live at the Tower so they are serious about it. Is the light blue uniformed troops regiment from a light infantry lineage as they marched with weapons at trail or slung?
I think so.
The light blue is the Life Squadron (cavalry), when they enter their turn to guard HM King they ride in with horses to the Royal Palace. In this clip they ended their guard turn and no horses are present. The darker uniforms is The Life Company (infantry). Both these units is part of the Life Guards.
They are dragoons (cavalry). They perform both mounted on horseback and on foot like here. So does their band, which is quite a sight!
