Duane Eddy, the 'King of Twang' guitarist died at the age of 86 after battling cancer

Duane Eddy, the most commercially successful instrumental performer in rock 'n' roll history, passed away. He was 86. The Grammy-winning guitarist passed away peacefully on Tuesday, surrounded by family in Franklin, Tennessee. Eddy died from cancer on Tuesday at Williamson Health Hospital in Franklin, Tennessee, according to his wife, Deed Abbate.

rebel rouser was one the first instrumentals that blew my mind. mom always had rock and roll radio on in the house. discovered many other great songs that way.
