That's an insane rejection rate. I wonder if these production runs are for them specifically or if they are just taking the best measuring tubes. I'm assuming the rest are sold for another purpose or under a different brand.
Here's what they said on Head-Fi: "We are developing plans to resell these to businesses not looking to use them for audio listening purposes. but for now, the rejected tubes are just sitting and not doing anything. Rest assured, the ones that did not make the cut would never receive the branding on the tubes. So they will not be mistaken as a result."

They are too expensive. $150 USD per pair - so about $222 AUD
Russian tubes are as good for about $10 AUD
