Here in the eastern US, we're just starting to get our extremely hot, muggy weather.
I'll be breaking out my Acqua Di Parma Colonia. It sounds like it may be somewhat similar to your Boucheron. I love the soapy dry down notes.
Best of luck on your dinner with the Pope! ; )

Acqua di Parma Colonia Classic and Boucheron are very different my friend.I live in Utah and the first is perfect for summer and hot weather and the second for winter/cold days.Regards

I picture a distinguished gentleman in the age range of 50 to 70’s dressed in a double breasted navy blazer and khaki trousers strolling the streets of Monte Carlo when smelling this fragrance, especially when you get to the middle and base note. Very classy fragrance imo.

Im still using Kuros, Jazz and Aramis. I recall going to Canada on Ward Air in 1989, where I bought my fist bottle. It still reminds me of that balmy summer cycling through Banff and the Okanagan Valley. My perfume journey needs updating. The association of smells is very powrful. Thanks for the review.

When I first tried this, I couldn’t stop laughing at how bright and happy that lemon opening is. I had to get it. Between this and Jaipur, Boucheron delivers exceptional and rich fragrances at a very affordable prices.

I have the EDP. Had it for a year. It took a few wearings to adjust but since then, it grew on me. Good price

My fragrance collection has expanded massively due to these reviews but I love selecting a daily scent as part of my morning routine.

This is another excellent review, Ash, with a great description of the various components of the fragrance in question. -Yet another interesting product I have never heard of before.

It sounds like an interesting fragrance, admittedly I have not heard of it before, however, I would be willing to try it, especially with the outdoor jazz concerts starting next month right through September I imagine it would fit right in that environment!

It sounds a smell I would love to put on. Have you ever tried agua concentrada by Álvarez Gómez it is a very lemony, very masculine and very affordable fragrance and the performance is not half bad, but again I am Spaniard so I guess I am biased hahahaha. A must try in summer for sure!!

The ‘Blu Mediterraneo’ range by Acqua Di Parma have many similar tasting notes and evoke pleasant memories of warm Italian Summers; for me it’s the ‘Fico Di Amalfi’ and ‘Bergamotto Di Calabria’ EDTs, but I think you’d love the ‘Arancia Di Capri’. All available at John Lewis btw 😉

I literally just picked up a 150ml bottle of 'Fico di Amalfi' in the John Lewis sale, collected it last night and sprayed some on before I drove back in the car. It was a blind buy and the most money (even in the sale) that I've ever spent on a fragrance but I love it!

    • @jonathanb2622
      @jonathanb2622 9 днів тому

How do you find the longevity of 'Bergamotto Di Calabria'? I'm pleasantly surprised by the longevity of 'Fico di Amalfi'.

@@jonathanb2622, as it’s an EDT rather than EDP and also a lighter scent, I probably get around 4-5 hours average. If it’s a hot day then probably a bit less, so I often carry one of those ‘free sample’ sprays of the same scent as a top-up. Glad you like the Fico Di Amalfi, it’s very continental! 👍🏻

@@cholomondeleybiscuitt Thanks for the reply and info' - that's good to know. 4-5 hours is good for a citrus ,so I think I'll be picking up 'Bergamotto Di Calabria' at some point in the near future.

I have had the "eau de parfum" for several years. It is not my wife's favorite. I think that's the reason it hasn't finished yet. However, I like to use it on quite special ocasions.

There is an eau de parfum version as well. I think this one gets overlooked because of Jaipur Pour Homme which is even better..... in my humble opinion. I have an almost full bottle of the EdP version of this, but my Jaipur is virtually empty... the Jaipur is a little more versatile and is pretty much universally loved, even by younger ladies.... I say pretty much universally loved because my dad hates it... lol

I didn't know this existed or was that highly rated. Im plan on testing it. Ash please do a video on how to select a fragrance as its influenced by skin chemistry. I find only certain fragrances like rochss, opium dunhill blue last and develop well

Very complete and informative review Ash. I’m compelled to try it. Also, based on your recent review I purchased the &Sons Carver jacket and also the Sunday Shirt, both in army green. It was my first purchase from &Sons. And I am very pleased with my experience. I very much like the rugged and unique styling features of both garments. The quality is high and the cost was reasonable. And shipping to the US was prompt. Thank you!

I've used Boucheron for many years after discovering it at an airport duty free. As an aside, what are your views on aftershaves/eau de parfum that are copies, or inspired by expensive perfumes? A good budget idea - or leave well alone?
